The Iran Holocaust Cartoons-Beyond Disgusting

Hat tip to Pajamas Media

When I first saw these cartoons yesterday, my first reaction was not to post them because they are so disgusting. After thinking, I decided to follow the example of Pajamas Media. Decent people must see them to realize that anti-Semitism is alive and well in this world. These cartoons were created by a "non-governmental cultural site" in Iran reportedly in response to the Danish cartoons controversy. Yet, it was not Israelis or Jews that created the anti-Islamic cartoons. As I have stated before, I have never posted those cartoons on my site, nor do I intend to.

These cartoons suggest that the Jews have either created the Holocaust or exploited it to their advantage. Yet, beyond that political canard, they show outright hatred for Jews as a people. One needs look no further than the caricatures of Jews, which are inspired by the anti-Semitic Nazi weekly, Der Stuermer, which was created by Julius Streicher (hanged at Nuremberg after the Second World War.)

And make no mistake; these cartoons were not produced by some NGO independent of the Iranian regime. This is the same regime that stones women to death for adultery, hangs homosexuals, persecutes Baha'i and shoots its own citizens down in the streets when they protest.

I wonder what the UN has to say about these pictures. Silly me. They are too busy passing resolutions against Israel for supposed human rights violations as they try to defend themselves against this type of radical hatred-a hatred that seeks to wipe them off the face of the earth.

And President Obama thinks he can negotiate with this kind of regime? I suggest he read the biography of Neville Chamberlain.

Anyway, if you want to get sick today, just click below.

It is disgusting.
When I lived in Iran 1977 to 1979 I never heard any anti Jewish sentiments, in fact, there were shops that belonged to Jews, an Iranian friend of ours was married to a Jewish girl, I don't think that it is natural for Iranians to hate Jews.
Iranians did feel something incommon with Germans because of being Aryan, and confessed that they liked Hitler.

The difference between this trash, and European anti-Semitism, is precisely that this is rank government propaganda, whereas anti-Semitism had roots many centuries deep in most European cultures, more so where the Roman Catholic church remained strong, but, Hitler had a lot of Lutheran support too. Between the world wars, Polish students used to have "teeth parties" where they would find an elderly Jewish man and pull out all of his teeth with a pair of pliers just to have some fun for an idle afternoon.

The manipulative projection of anti-Semitism by Iranian and many Arabic governments is serious, but it could be swept away in twenty years with the right change of regime. Today Khaybar is in vogue - tomorrow, the Jewish captains who served the Barbary state navies and the Ottoman Sultan as admiral, could be back in style.

As i understand it, anti-Semitsm was not a problem prior to the revolution in Iran.

Siarlys,

Do you think the Grand Muft of Jerusalem invented Anti-Semitism in the ME? It is true that Jews were living better in Muslim lands in previous centuries than in Europe. They were still subject to dhimmi status.
