Last night, riots broke out in the Grenoble district of Villenueve. Over 50 cars were torched, windows smashed, shots fired, all the usual goings-on. Reason? During the late night of Thursday-Friday, two men robbed a casino of 20-40 thousand Euros, which was recovered. One would think that there would be little sympathy for this bum in the community, right? Good riddance, right? Clean shooting, right? Think again. After an evening prayer for him conducted by a local imam, about 50 young people gather in a park and from there, things go to Hell.

Why call it a riot? In France this is the usual behavior for Muslims on a Saturday night.

The lone African American columnist for my local paper observed that after two young men holding up a corner store at gun point were shot to death by two customers in the store, also armed, the mother of one of the deceased denied that her son could have done anything like that. The columnist observed that it is just not in a mother's nature to believe it could have been her son. He didn't give the mother's opinion any credibility. A dead body lying on the floor and the testimony of a live grocer is pretty definitive. Armed robbery is armed robbery. This doesn't sound like there is any Robin Hood angle.
Hitler's mother would have been shocked had she lived to see what her son did.
