UC Santa Cruz (America's Wackiest University) has just announced that it has hired ex-White House reporter Helen Thomas to be the dean of the newly-consolidated Depts. of History, Anthropology, History of Consciousness and Community Studies.
Ms Thomas, in accepting the position announced that there will be an entire overhaul of the courses offered. Some of those on the drawing board (pending the hiring of qualified professors) are:
A History of the Palestine nation and their governments from Biblical times to the present
A History of the Jews from their origins in Poland to the occupation of Palestine
The life and times of the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem with emphasis on his years spent in the Jewish homeland of Germany during World War II
How the Palestinians built Jerusalem (al Quds)
Palestinian assimilation into Arab societies (Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Jordan, etc.): A success story
Coptic Christians in Egypt: a success story
Baha'i in Iran: a success story
Gays in Iran: a success story
Christians and Muslims in Lebanon- Working together
The return of migrant (illegal alien) Jews living in Arab lands to their homelands in Germany and Poland post-1948
The Hamas Charter-an in-depth analysis
How to tell who's a (Zionist) Jew

So whaddaya think? Helen Thomas at America's Wackiest University; I think it's a great match.

This was just believable enough that I didn't recognize it as satire until I was half way down the course list. Nice writing.
