$$$ University of California Students-Refunds! $$$

Hey all you University of California students! Did you know that you are entitled to demand refunds from UC for that portion of your tuition that goes to fund on-campus political, ideological or religious groups that you probably don't support?

It's true.

Here is the below link. Please note that this link pertains to UC-Irvine. It is a direct reaction to the Israel Apartheid of May 10 and the speakers brought to the UCI campus by the Muslim Student Union. Obviously, however, this rule must apply to all UC campuses. For all you UC Santa Cruz Community Studies majors, this would be a great term project.

So what are you waiting for? Check it out:

In my seldom humble opinion, a better solution would be to provide NO funding for bringing speakers to campus for ANY campus group organized to promote a political or social viewpoint. Allow use of campus resources, like classrooms and auditoriums, or semi-public fora like plazas, but let the advocacy groups, all of them, raise their own funds to pay for their own invited speakers.

After all, the inner city rap-fans featured in "Freedom Writers" raised the money to bring the woman who saved Ann Frank's Diary all the way from Holland, and they were only in high school. College students who are truly committed to a cause can't manage to do the same?
