Robert Gibbs Goes Off on Fox-And Gets it Wrong

During Tuesday's White House press briefing, spokesman Robert (Jokeman) Gibbs, pictured below...


complained to Fox News' Wendell Goler about that network's interview of ex-FEMA director Michael Brown the previous day. Take a listen:

Now I am no defender of Michael Brown, but he did not, as Gibbs stated, accuse the administration of deliberately setting the oil spill. He implied that they delayed their reaction to it so as to let the situation get worse. Thus, they would have an excuse to stop off-shore oil drilling. For the record, I have no opinion on that question.

Indeed. By the way, those comments on Fox & Friends about any possible deliberate sabotage were not directed at the administration. Here is what was actually said:


Bottom line? Gibbs got it all wrong, as he usually does.
