Sunday, Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) took to the Senate floor and said this about those who oppose government health care:
Senator Whitehouse is now taking the line from the likes of Janeane Garofalo and others who have such disdain for ordinary Americans who think this is a bad idea. We are racists, birthers, and members of Aryan militias.
What arrogance on the part of Whitehouse as he labels approximately 55% of the public in such a manner.
Out of curiosity, I just did a little googling and learned that Whitehouse is the son of Charles Whitehouse, who was the Ambassasor to Thailand during the years I served at that embassy with DEA. I had the chance to meet the ambassador briefly on a couple of occasions. Apparently, Sheldon was going to college in the States at the time. Had I known what was to come, I would have warned the ambassador his son needed some parental guidance.
