With everything else going on in our lives here at home, word has come that US Marines and Afghan soldiers are fighting a house-to-house battle against Taliban fighters in a village in North Helmand Province, Afghanistan.
My prayers go out to them. May they acheive their mission and come back safely.

I pray that they can fulfill their mission and all return to base safely.
That's why we (all my family) wear red on Fridays (have you ever noticed that I always wear red on Fridays??) as a symbol of respect that we have for our troops, and as a reminder to pray for them.
It is lovely to see my children at their school pray for the troops every day in their morning line up. The flag that flies over their school was used over a camp in Iraq and is very meaningful to the school and the students.
God speed and protection to all who are in harm's way.
