The news today that Barack Obama's grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, passed away today in Hawaii is a sad event. In spite of my opposition to Obama's candidacy for the White House, we should all stop for a moment, say a prayer for the lady who raised Obama, and express to him our condolences.
Should Obama win the election tomorrow, it would have been nice if his grandmother had lived to see the moment. Sadly, she did not.
