What Has Happened to the ADL?-A Cross Post

Hat tip to Family Security Matters

I am cross-posting an article from Frank Gaffney's Family Security Matters. It is an open letter from Alyssa Lappen to Abe Foxman, the head of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL). It concerns an article published by the ADL attacking lawyer David Yerushalmi.

http://www.familysecuritymatters.org/publications/id.9119/pub_detail.asp

I do not know Mr Yerushalmi. I am aware that he gives legal assistance to various groups around the country seeking to prevent any intrusion of Sharia law into their states' legal codes. I don't have any argument against him for that. Nor do I have any problem with being against illegal immigration.

As for the ADL, I grew up hearing about that organization as the leading organ in fighting anti-Semitism. Since I have gotten involved in those kinds of issues in Southern California, I have found myself wondering what they really do. As for the controversies at UC-Irvine, I have not seen ADL get involved in any meaningful way aside from making a statement here and there.

Nor do I know Mr Foxman. I know that he spoke a few months back in Orange County at a country club in Newport Beach. I did not attend, but a friend who did told me that when asked about anti-Semitism on the UCI campus, he pretty much waved it away indicating he didn't see any problem there and that the faculty and students were taking care of it. (I am paraphrasing.)

OK.

So I am still wondering what it is that the ADL does-at least in my neck of the woods.

"Hate Crime" Alert in Orange County

"Somebody call CAIR!"

Somebody better wake up Rusty Kennedy, the useless director of something called the Orange County Human Relations Commission. Frank Mickadeit has a column in today's Orange County Register about an incident involving a fight between an Arab cab driver and three Hispanic guys. As expected, CAIR is "Johnny on the spot" asking for an investigation into a possible "hate crime".

http://www.ocregister.com/articles/uria-294358-cabbie-one.html

CAIR Southern California honcho Hassam Ayloush has been a busy man lately as he darts from place to place looking for Islamophobes and "haters" under every bed. Most recently, he has been driving a campaign against people who protested on February 13th against two known radical Islamic speakers in Yorba Linda. CAIR has been using an edited tape to try and link some who broke off from the protest to shout at Muslim attendees as they walked into the speaking site. It was clearly over the line, expecially since some attendees brought their children. However, it was not representative of those who organized the event, spoke at the event, and the vast majority who listened to the protest speakers.

At any rate, maybe Mr Kennedy can earn that six-figure salary he is reputed to be earning and hold another hearing on the cabbie affair. Won't that be fun? He'll have the Hispanic activists and the Muslim activists all in the same room and outside with bullhorns and signs shouting, "Go back home!" to each other.

I'll pass.

"Appears to be some sort of demonstration, by George."

Olive Tree Initiative-Was There a Meeting With a Hamas Official in 2009?

I am cross-posting an article by the Orange County Independent Task Force on Anti-Semitism. This article reports that, pursuant to a California State Freedom of Information Act, a letter has been obtained from the University of California at Irvine (UCI) files. The letter was reportedly written in 2009 by the Orange County Jewish Federation to UC-Irvine Chancellor Michael Drake and concerns a reported meeting between student participants in the 2009 Olive Tree Initiative trip to Israel and the West Bank with a reputed official of Hamas, one Aziz Duwaik (aka Dweik, Dwaik, aka Abdel Aziz Duwaik). This individual is identified as the speaker of the Palestinian  Authority Legislature and the highest ranking member of Hamas in the West Bank.

http://octaskforce.wordpress.com/2011/03/29/letter-uc-irvine-olive-tree-initiative-students-met-with-hamas-leader-in-2009-trip/

Here is a report by JTA, which contains a statement by the OC Jewish Federation.

http://www.jta.org/news/article/2011/03/31/3086657/jewish-organization-protests-uc-student-meeting-with-hamas-leader

What is missing from the above report is the fact that while the Federation and Hillel were defending themselves from 2010 to the present from criticism over the OTI's alleged visits with ISM activists and criticizing the person who revealed these ties, they were  apparently keeping this whole 2009 incident and their correspondance with UCI under wraps. Only a California Freedom of Information request has brought the letter and the alleged meeting to light. Also, it would be nice to know who exactly, if anyone, told students to keep silent about meeting with Duwaik.

It gets more interesting. Here is an article on the topic from the Orange County Register on 3-31-11:

http://www.ocregister.com/news/uci-294427-students-jewish.html

Cathy Lawhon, spokeswoman for UCI, said "meeting with people of many different points of view is consistent with (Olive Tree's) mission."

"Their stated mission is to hear varying points of view, and to take people of varying points of view over there," Lawhon said. "It's not a homogenous group at all."

"Lawhon said more trips to the Mideast have taken place since 2009, but that she is unaware if additional meetings with Duwaik or other Hamas officials were held."

I beg to differ. Meeting with people with varying points of  view is one thing. Meeting with members of organizations designated by our government as terrorist organizations is quite another. In addition, the JTA article quotes a Federation spokesman as stating that the university assurred the Federation that such an incident would not happen again and that it has not. Yet, the university spokesperson seems to have no idea as to what happened on the subsequent 2010 trip, nor does she seem to have any problem with what happened in 2009.

Here is the Wikipedia entry for Aziz Duwaik.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aziz_Duwaik

In way of background for those readers unfamiliar with the Olive Tree Initiative, it was formed in 2007 at UC-Irvine in order to send selected groups of Jewish, Muslim and other students to Israel and the West Bank to meet with various figures on both sides of the Israel-Palestinian dispute. To date, there have been three trips, 2008-2009-2010. In addition, the program has spread to other UC campuses. Funding for the travel of Jewish students is handled primarily by the Rose Project, which was established by the OC Jewish Federation. In addition the OTI, in its brochure, solicits public donations. Finally, it is known that the Federation and Hillel of UCI have supported OTI-the Federation monetarily. At the university, the program falls under the Dept of Social Sciences.

In the past few months, there has been an on-going controversy within the Jewish community concerning some of the Palestinian figures that the Jewish  students have been meeting with in the Holy Land. They include figures who have been part of or even helped found the International Solidarity Movement (ISM), an international organization dedicated to the destruction of Israel.

As stated, the OTI claims that it is exposing the students to both sides of the dispute. The Jewish Federation claims that this exposure makes the Jewish students better equipped to argue Israel's side. Yet, many members of the local Jewish community, including those who have donated money to the Federation, are questioning the wisdom of sending Jewish students to be influenced by older, experienced activists who are dedicated to deligitimizing Israel through so-called peaceful protests and the Boycott, Divest and Sanctions movement (BDS). The OTI-sponsored speaking appearance in November of 2010 of George S Rishmawi at UCI also sparked questions. Rishmawi,  is a Christian Palestinian figure, who was a co-founder of ISM, with whom he claims not to be presently involved. He is one of the top OTI contacts in the Palestinian territories.

It should be pointed out here that if Jewish students want to travel to the Middle East and meet with such persons, that is their absolute right. However, this travel is funded by others. It is also true that  donors have the absolute right to know how their money is being spent, and if they disagree, they have the right to stop donating.

When, several months ago, a local Jewish woman, who has been following events on the UCI campus for a couple of years, began to ask questions about the nature of the travel and the nature of the people involved, she was met with an avalanche of blow-back from the OC Jewish Federation and Hillel. Her claims about George S. Rishmawi were called false. She was accused of causing division within the Jewish community. She was called a liar. Past and present student participants of OTI trips contributed open letters to the OC Jewish Experience web site denouncing the complaints and defending the OTI. In addition, several dozen Jewish students' names were added to a Hillel letter of support, in which many of the students involved had not given their concurrence to have their names included. In the OC Jewish Life monthly publication, a rabbi, who writes regularly for the monthly, said that the woman should apologize to the Federation for speaking out without bringing her concerns to them first (which she, in fact, had done).

That brings us to the release of the aforementioned letter. If the statements in the letter are factual, then this OTI controversy goes far beyond the alleged involvement of the ISM et. al. It now involves Hamas. This organization is appropriately labeled as a terrorist organization by our government. It is an organization that refuses negotitions with Israel as a waste of time. Its charter calls for the elimination of every Jew and the elimination of the Jewish state. As we speak, Hamas, the government of Gaza, continues to lob missiles into southern Israel. The Federation letter, of course, shows appropriate concern that this meeting reportedly took place. Unfortunately, what should have happened in 2009 and in 2010 in the middle of the controversy within the Jewish community, apparently did not happen. There was apparently no notification publicly that a major problem reportedly had occurred during the 2009 trip. While the Federation and Hillel were defending themselves on the OTI issue, this Duwaik matter was apparently kept under wraps-as they were criticizing the lady who was trying to bring light to the very questions surrounding the OTI. All the while, this letter was sitting in someone's files, out of  public view. It took a Freedom of Information request to bring this all to light.

It should also be noted that both the 2008 and 2010 itineraries for the OTI trips have been posted on the OTI websites and thus, posted on this blog. What cannot be found on the OTI website is the 2009 itinerary. Now we can only wonder why.

It is now time for the OC Jewish Federation, Hillel, the university, and the Olive Tree Initiative  to come clean on this matter and explain exactly what happened in September of 2009 during the OTI trip-and why the  information remained out of the public domain while they (UCI excepted) were, in effect, shooting the messenger, the one woman who questioned what this Olive Trip Initiative is all about.

The Islamic Circle of North America Handbook

Hat tip to Investigative Project on Terrorism

In December of 2010, Steve Emerson's Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT) published the handbook of the Islamic Circle of North Ameria (ICNA), which reveals their true agenda. This is the organization that hosted a charity dinner in Yorba Linda on February 13 that brought out a protest to  point out that the ICNA featured speakers were two well-known radicals, Siraj Wahhaj and Amir Abdel Malik Ali. It was at that event that several dozen people broke away from the actual protest to chant and shout at the attendees as they arrived. Since the protest, ICNA and CAIR have launched a major PR campaign to paint all the organizers, speakers and attendees at the protest as being "haters" and connectecd to the minority who stepped out of line. As a result, Villa Park and Yorba Linda city councils, as well as the OC Human Relations Commisssion (OCHRC) have held hearings on the event under pressure from CAIR. In adddition, Villa Park city council member, Deb Pauly, has come under extreme fire for her words when she spoke at the protest. (In my view, she has nothing to apologize for. I have previously  posted the video of her speech.)

I invite you to read the handbook of ICNA. Thanks to IPT for obtaining it and publishing it. Hopefully, the empty suits at the OCHRC and the Villa Park/Yorba Linda  city councils will read it as well. It makes it very clear that the goal of the ICNA is to make Islam dominant everywhere-including here. Opposing that is not bigotry.

Paula Deen's New Recipe!!!

Hi y'all. This is Paula, and today I'm gonna show y'all how to make my special recipe for braised pork loin a'la Paula.

First thing ya gotta do is make sure the pork ya buy is pure, Californian-grown pork-the best.
The choicest pork in the world is raised right there in Sacramento. Don't accept less.

After ya cut out the loin, it's time to fire up the old fryin' pan. Throw in about a pound of lard and mix it with mayonnaise. I just loooove me some mayonnaise. While the pan's heatin' up, you take that slab of pork loin and take a knife and carefully cut out the fat. This is very important, y'all. Lay the fat on the counter and sprinkle raisins and apple bits over it. Then drop it all in the fryin' pan.

After about five minutes, it's time to put the loin in the frying pan. While it's cookin, get ya some good old buttery biscuits, add another layer of butter plus a teaspoon of mayonnaise. Then throw in the oven. Then ya gotta get that gravy started. Fire up another fryin' pan, pour in a pound of lard, a pound of butter, a jar of mayonnaise (I just looove me some mayonnaise) a pound of bacon grease, and a cup of water.

While all that's goin' on, you need to prepare the braise. Take a mixer, throw in three eggs, a pound of strawberry jelly, whole milk, two cups of mayonnaise ( I just looove me some mayonnaise.), a pound of lard, sugar, red peppers, and  two tablespoons of Dijon mustard. Umm ummm. Put all that in the mixer for about 5 minutes.

Now you can fire up another fryin' pan and get yer collard greens and chitlens goin'.........

"We interrupt this broadcast to bring you a special report. Police are responding to a location on the south side of town where a house has been destroyed by an explosion. Derrick is at the site. What do you have Derrick?"

"George, this house behind me has been totally destroyed by an explosion. We don't know the cause yet, but the fire chief says it looks like all the earmarks of a meth lab operation, which involves a lot of volatile materials. The lone occupant, a woman identified as Paula Deen, is now being questioned by police, the fire department, and the Food and Drug Administration ."

Geert Wilders' Speech in Rome March 25, 2011

On March 25, Dutch politician Geert Wilders made a speech in Rome, which I am attaching. Wilders, who is on trial in his native Holland for "spreading hate", "defaming Islam" or some such rot, speaks frankly in this speech about the threat to Western civilization. He particularly criticizes multi-culturalism, which to him means insisting that all cultures are equal. He maintains they are not.

http://www.geertwilders.nl/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1740&Itemid=1

I have said this before in regards to Wilders, but it bears repeating. To an American's ears, it is an uncomfortable thought saying that Western civilization is superior to other civilizations. In America, the popular academic trend is what we term, Post-Colonial thought, which basically bashes Western Civilization as a historic oppressor while maintaining that all cultures are equal. Multi-culturalism-spelled with a capital M is part and parcel of that ideology.

Personally, I don't think that Western civilization is better than say, Japanese civilization, which, in my view, the Japanese people are amply demonstrating in the face of their recent catastrophe. We could learn a lesson in civics from the Japanese. On the other hand, is Japanese culture superior to the culture of the head-hunters of Borneo? Of course. As for comparing all the rest, I'll leave that to you the reader and Wilders.

Wafa Sultan Gives Some Pointers to Bill O'Reilly

I generally like Bill O'Reilly, but sometimes he opines on matters in error, often in legal matters. In this interview with Wafa Sultan, he plays the politically-correct path. I doubt O'Reilly is as ignorant as he comes off in this interview. I suspect he is playing it safe. He sees what is happening to his colleague, Glenn Beck. I guess he doesn't want to be targeted in a similar fashion. I am disappointed, however.

I have attended two events in which Sultan has spoken. Her message is important and should be heard.

The Address of the Leader of the Free World

Ladies and Gentlemen, we now take you to the Maison Blanche, where the leader of the free world, President of France, Nicolas Sarkozy, is about to speak.

Bon jour, ladies and gentlemen. Nine days ago, I ordered our troops to enforce a no-fly zone in order to protect innocent civilians from the forces of an evil dictator, who is trying to deny his people their rights. This is an effort that enjoys international cooperation. It has been approved by the UN, NATO, the Arab league, the African Union and the International Solidarity Movement.

This effort involves the troops of many countries including  Italy, Turkey, Albania and Qatar-not to mention the French Foreign Legion. Turkey is a valued ally. Just a year or so ago, President Erdogan received the Qaddafi Award for Peace and Human Rights. The nation of Italy will bring unique capabilities to our war, er kinetic military action; pasta, wine, and don't forget those white surrender flags. And what can I say about Albania?

This week, we are handing over command and control to NATO. Since France is not a full member of NATO, our mission will be decreased. As you know, NATO consists of 28 member nations, and leadership rotates periodically. The next presidency of NATO will be Italian Prime Minister, Silvio Berlusconi. He will be addressing you in the coming days as he takes over the mantle of leader of the free world. (The Germans had four warships in the region, but withdrew them when they realized they weren't in France.)

Today, I spoke by phone with Albanian president, Wazhisnamsky. He assured me of Albania's commitment to this effort, and he looks forward to succeeding Prime Minister Berlusconi as the leader of the free world next month when Italy's term expires.

In the meantime, French troops have acquitted themselves admirably. They have shot down an enemy plane for the first time in French war-time history. And more importantly, for the first time in French history, our nation has saved someone.

How long will this mission last? I can't say. All I can tell you is that we will continue to be involved in the no-fly zone. Already, we have secured the skies all over the east coast from Maine to Florida. And I want to close with a personal message to President Barack Obama; you have lost the legitimacy of rule in the US. Your time is over, and you must go.

Thank you, God bless you and God bless France.

Refrain

Aux armes, o citoyens.......

Dick Durbin's Hearings and Islamophobia

Steve Emerson's Investigative Project on Terrorism has published a critique on the up-coming Durbin hearings on anti-Muslim sentiment.

http://www.investigativeproject.org/2719/durbin-flawed-hearing

It's hardly surprising that the ultra-liberal Durbin would jump on this bandwagon, especially after the King hearing, which was disappointing to say the least. Durbin's announcement also coincides with CNN's report which aired last night, "The Muslim next door". Soledad O'Brien's documentary focused on the controversy over the planned mosque to be built in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Though she interviewed several anti-mosque activists, the show was obviously partial to the Muslim community and their desire to build the mosque. Only one of the anti-mosque persons interviewed came across as a reasonable person-an age-old media tactic.

I don't know enough about the Murfreesboro story to form a complete opinion. I am not against the right of Muslims to build their places of worship though I do oppose the New York Ground Zero mosque project. One of the Muslims interviewed was a young girl born in Murfreesboro. She certainly seemed like a sympathetic figure, and it's  hard not to feel for her.

What O'Brien's show did not address is why there is negative feeling towards Muslims in America. I am willing to concede that Islamophobia does, indeed, exist in America though I maintain that actual instances of hate crimes toward Muslims are very low-much lower thn acts of anti-Semitism in this country-many of which are fueled by Muslims.

For example, the CNN show did not address intolerance felt, preached and acted out by certain Muslims-even in America, let alone the Middle East and Europe. CNN did not address the fact that many, possibly even  most mosques,  preach a radical form if Islam-Wahhabism. Many sermons in mosques are in themselves quite hateful toward non-Muslims.

We don't even have to mention 9-11, Ft Hood and other uncovered or attempted terrorist plots here on American soil.

CNN also neglected to talk about activism on college campuses by Muslim Student Associations and their radical sponsored speakers, many of whom have said hateful things about America, the West and Jews. That is intolerance, and many Americans don't feel that they are bashing Muslims so much as they are refusing to tolerate intolerance itself.

In spite of all this, Americans, for the most part, have kept a pretty good rein on their anger, fear or mistrust. With rare exceptions, Muslims are not being subjected to violence or vandalism. In fact, as Emerson pointed out, the hate crime statistics for 2009 show nine times as many hate crimes directed toward Jews as Muslims. I wish that King or Durbin would hold hearings on the rise of anti-Semitism in America-principally on our campuses. Now that would be an eye-opener.

It is undeniable that many Islamic spokesmen have told us openly and brazenly that one day Islam will rule America under Shariah law. For Americans to react defensibly or angrily to that is not bigotry. That is something that the young lady in Murfreesboro needs to comes to terms with.

As for Murfreesboro, hopefully, people can come together and reach an accommodion. There will and should be close scrutiny on who becomes the imam if this mosque becomes reality. If it turns out that a radical imam takes over in Murfreesboro, then the fears of the opponents will be realized.

Student Files Hostile Environment Complaint at York University

York University in Toronto is arguably the most radical university in Canada when it comes to pro-Palestinian and anti-Israel agitation. In the past couple of years, there have been a series of incidents that have brought shame and embarrassment to the university, which has the temerity to continue to deny that a hostile environment for Jews exists on the campus. In February 2009, Jewish students had to take refuge in the Hillel House when radical, pro-Palestinian students besieged them. Now one Jewish student is trying to hold the feckless university administration accountable. (Hat tip to JTA and OC Independent Task Force on Anti-Semitism)

http://jta.org/news/article/2011/03/25/3086568/student-files-hostile-environment-complaint-against-york

Dr. Richard Cravatts of Boston University has written an article on York University which addresses the anti-Semitic nature of what is going on there (Daily Targum).

http://www.dailytargum.com/opinions/academic-clothing-disguises-anti-israeli-outbursts-1.2153000

Below is a first-hand account of the 2009 Hillel House incident (Full Comment).

http://network.nationalpost.com/np/blogs/fullcomment/archive/2009/02/12/an-eyewitness-account-of-this-week-s-aggressive-intimidation-of-jewish-students-at-york-university.aspx

It seems to me that legal action at York University is long overdue. This is just one example of how North American university administrators have allowed their campuses to become battlegrounds over the Israel-Palestinian conflict-courtesy of the militant and well-organized pro-Palestinian side.

Pakistani Actress Slaps Down Mullah

Hat tip to MEMRI and Hot Air

Enroll me as a member of the Veena Malik fan club. Not only is she drop-dead beautiful but courageous as well. Malik is a well-known Pakistani actress who performed in India and incurred the wrath of some dopey Pakistani mullah for his perception of "immorality". Watch as she defends herself and slaps down the mullah.

One can only hope and pray that she stays safe.

Oh yes. As yet, we are still waiting for N.O.W. to issue a statement in support of Malik. Should be any minute now.

The Palestinian Wall of Lies

(Courtesy of the David Horowitz Freedom Center)

It is my pleasure to post the above video from the David Horowitz Freedom Center that exposes the propaganda and lies emanating from the various Muslim Student Associations in universities around North America, their left-wing professor allies, and the Palestinian terrorist-supporting forces around the world. This exposes what is going on on our university campuses. I know because I have witnessed it myself so many times.

A Yale Student Speaks Out

                                                  Yale University
                                 "Producing the Leaders of Tomorrow"

                                       Graduation ceremony
Frontpage Magazine has re-printed an article by Yale student Nathaniel Zelinsky, which originally appeared in the Yale Daily News. In this article, Zelinsky talks about the lies that abound during Israel Apartheid Week. He also mentions one of the Palestinian speakers who came to speak at Yale, a former Yale professor named Mazin Qumsiye. Read what the article has to say about this character.

http://frontpagemag.com/2011/03/26/a-jewish-student-at-yale-stands-up/

Of interest to readers of this blog is the fact that Qumsiye (also spelled Qumsiyeh) is a treasured contact of the UC-Irvine Olive Tree Initiative, as previously pointed out on this site. He is on one whale of a US tour as we speak. I wonder who pays for it.

Message From National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation

"Whadda'ya mean youse don't wanna join da union?"

I am happy to post a message I got from Mark Mix, head of the National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation regarding their efforts to help workers defeat the big unions. There is some interesting information in this link.

http://paracom.paramountcommunication.com/hostedemail/email.htm?h=2ab4b099c61c9b1723f9cda0946b0de2&CID=8369313530&ch=33F2A8ECBE0143D0E2454E54F9820FF6

If you can, consider making a contribution to these good folks. The above message should be forwarded to your friends. Workers shouldn't have to silently be controlled by these corrupt unions.

Heigh Ho, Heigh Ho-It's Off to War We Go

(Hat tip to whomever in Hell put the above picture together)

"Let me make one thing crystal clear...."

"Whenever people are in danger, when a dictator is threatening to conduct a bloodbath against his own people and bring instability to the region, we will act."

(Gee. I didn't know the Middle East was unstable. When did that happen?)

"The mission is not regime change. The mission is to protect the Libyan people. In fact, we may accomplish the mission and Ghaddafi could still remain."

"Ghaddafi has lost the legitimacy to govern and he must go."

"We are handing off command and control to NATO."

"Let me make one thing crystal clear. If the president takes this country to war against any nation that hasn't attacked us or poses an immediate threat to attack us, I will begin impeachment proceedings."

Those are not exact quotes and have been made by various individuals, but I defy anyone to make the case that I am misquoting anyone. We've heard all these things said. Any informed observer can verify that, right?

"Uhhhh....yeaaaaah."

Well, apparently, President Obama will clear this up Monday night when he addresses the nation and makes it crystal clear what our mission is in Libya, who we are helping, where he is taking this country, who will be commanding our troops, and what will happen to our old pal, Muammar Ghaddafi.

There's Hillary Clinton telling Ghaddafi's son, Mutassim that his old man must go.

There's EU President Herman van Rompuy (left) telling Ghaddafi that he must go.

So now NATO's in charge, eh? Twenty-eight member nations including Turkey and Albania. And they all  agree on military action?

I must admit that I am terribly confused about all this, but the President will make it all crystal clear on Monday night.
"That's right!"

Nigel Farage, Herman van Rompuy and Muammar Ghaddafi

I figured that my favorite British politician, Nigel Farage of the European Parliament, must have had something to say in Strasbourg about the Libyan situation, and voila! Here it is as Nigel rakes EU head chingon, Herman van Rompuy over the coals once again-this time over his meeting with Muammar Ghaddafi. This was just after van Rompuy had made a speech stating that Ghaddafi was a frightful chap who must step down. (Where have we heard that before?) This is priceless.

Hatem Bazian's View of America

Hatem Bazian

Hat tip to Campus Watch

Cinnamon Stillwell and Rima Green have written an article for Campus Watch that I am cross-posting. It concerns that vicious anti-Israel touring circus called Never Again for Anyone, which attempts to draw parellels between the Holocaust and the Israel-Palestinian conflict. Not surprisingly, UC Beserkeley professor Hatem Bazian is a featured player.

http://www.campus-watch.org/article/id/11116

This character is on the perpetual anti-Israel tour and came to to speak at UC-Irvine last year when I tried to pin him down on some of his alleged previous staements about quoting the Hadith of Hate (the one about killing the Jews hiding behind the trees on the Day of Judgement) and telling an audience about all the buildings on university campuses that have the names of Jews on them.

http://garyfouse.blogspot.com/2010/05/hatem-bazian-at-uc-irvine.html

Bazian is orginally from that area he calls Palestine. If you read his words, you come away with the distinct impression, especially in this latest article,  that he doesn't much like the United States of America-or at least its policies.

Which, of course, invites the usual xenophobic, jingoistic response: If you don't like it here, why don't you go back where you came from, professor?

Another Big Announcement From Janet Napolitano- "Border Safer Than Ever"

The Director of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano (2010 Fousesquawk Jerk of the Year), has just announced that our southern border is safer than ever!!!!

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20047102-503544.html

Actually, I didn't know we had a southern border. Not in Napolitanoland, at least.

More Video From Villa Park

I am posting some more video from Tuesday's Villa Park City Council meeting. The first one comes to us courtesy of Press TV. If you have never heard of Press TV before and are wondering why it is so favorable to the pro-CAIR side, that's because Press TV is an operation of the Iranian government.

In the below video, the crowd chants that someone "is a cop".

I assume that these tapes were produced by the pro-CAIR faction. Note the professionally-produced posters. Note the bullhorns with "Answer" written ( a radical leftist organization that seeks the destruction of Israel) on them. (http://www.answercoalition.org/national/index.html) Note the tired old leftist rhetoric of the chants. This demonstration was orchestrated by CAIR. It is typical of their tactics of intimidation and victimhood. Of course, the charge is always the same, "Racist", "Islamophobia", "bigot", ad nauseum.

But here is an item you might want to chew on. Standing in the front line of the pro-Pauli supporters was Rabbi Nachum Shifron, a man with a long grey beard that gives him away as a Jewish person. According to Rabbi Shifron, one man who got in his face told him that "it would have been better if Hitler and the Nazis had burned him too."

In the below video, Rabbi Shifron can be seen at about the one minute mark. He is dressed in a dark suit and sunglasses.

"Who's the minority now?"

How is that for hate?

Commentary Magazine Article on UJA-Federation of New York

Commentary Magazine is an online conservative Jewish site that supports Israel. This below article concerns funding from the UJA Federation of New York to Jewish Funds for Justice, a George Soros-funded group trying to force Fox News to get rid of  Glenn Beck because they (JFFJ) don't like what Beck says.

http://www.commentarymagazine.com/2011/03/24/jewish-federation-gave-over-1-million-to-anti-glenn-beck-group-2/

Kind of makes you wonder about UJA-Federation of New York's ways of handling money, doesn't it?

"Uhhhh.....yeaaaah."

On another note, EMET (Endowment for Middle East Truth) has instituted a petition to all Jewish Federation branches in the US to sign a pledge not to fund any group or effort that seeks to promote the Boycott, Divestment and Sanction movement against Israel or any group that is involved in the movement to deligitimize Israel.  I am enclosing a link to that site via the New English Review.

http://www.newenglishreview.org/blog_display.cfm/blog_id/33395

If you go to the petition, you can also find the address for the Jewish Federation in your area, as well as a page that tells you if your local branch has signed the pledge. If you consider yourself a supporter of Israel's right to exist, your local Jewish Federation offices need to hear from you. Please sign the petition.

Deb Pauly Responds

The below video was made at a Villa Park City Council meeting prior to last Tuesday's (March 22) meeting. Here Deb Pauly responds to the controversy over her speech at Yorba Linda on February 13.

It appears that Pauly has no friends on the city council. At the end, you can see what a bunch of wimps they are as they suck up to a young woman who is lambasting Pauly while defending those who disrupted the speech of Israeli Ambassador Michael Oren at UCI last May.

So much for free speech. Pauly was referring to terrorists in her February 13 speech. By the time some other people chose to yell at the dinner attendees as they arrived, Pauly had gone home. Meanwhile, the other side papers over the past history of hateful, inciteful words spoken by the ICNA speakers of February 13. That was the reason that a protest occurred in the first place.

Pauly should just tell them all to take a flying leap.

And While We Are on the Topic of Hate....

Christian churches torched in Ethiopia

Video From Villa Park Meeting

On March 22, the Villa Park (Orange County) City Council held a meeting. One of their members, Deb Pauly, was the object of a protest organized by the bully boys of CAIR. A few hundred people with time on their hands showed up. While their more "important" members spoke to the council inside and demanded an apology from Pauly for her words at the February 13 protest in Yorba Linda, several hundred people, mostly CAIR drones, shouted at the pro-Pauly supporters with the old refrain, "racists and bigots" (which is pure horseradish). Note the keffiyas (Palestinian/Arab scarves) in the crowd.

The main target of the pro-CAIR protesters is Rabbi Nachum Shifren, who you can see front and center with the long grey beard.

Let me set this whole thing straight. On February 13 in Yorba Linda, the object of the protest was the presence of two known radical Islamic speakers, Amir Abdel Malik Ali and Siraj Wahhaj. Now, CAIR and its minions are trying to portray everyone who participated and spoke at Yorba Linda as being bigots because of the (inappropriate) chanting of some who came to Yorba Linda with their own agenda in mind.

Why don't they go and chant their slogans at those two speakers?

I expect to have more on the event of Tuesday night.

Random Shots in the Dark (33)

"Gosh, Lois. Not even Nicolas Sarkozy can save us now."

As we speak, nobody knows what the Hell our mission is in Libya or who is going to lead it. We are awaiting Her Majesty the Secretary of State......

"I don't think that's funny."

...... to announce that NATO will be in charge. (I guess that Steering Committee got dropped.)

By the way, the word is.....

KMA

No, not kiss my ass, but Kinetic Military Action.

Yes, our action is Libya is not a war; it's a Kinetic Military Action.

Whatever happened to Overseas Continency Operation?

By the way. Do we know who these folks are that we are supporting in Libya? Is this another "democratic movement"-or warring tribes?

Nobody asked me, but it's actually very elemental, my Dear Watson. First, you kill Qaddafi to pay him back for Pan Am 103. Then you go home, declare victory, and let the Libyans build their country with the help of the French chefs and wine makers.

Just think. Today, for the first time in their entire history, the French shot down an enemy plane, albeit a trainer plane. It's also the first time in recorded history that the French ever saved anyone. Let's hear it for the new leader of the free world!

And while this is all happening, Obama is in Brazil pledging help for the Petrobras oil company so the Brazilians can do what Obama and Cass Sunstein won't let the Americans do-drill for oil in the Gulf of Mexico.

And guess who is a major investor in Petrobras? George Soros, of course. And you think Haliburton/Cheney was a scandal?

Then Obama went to El Salvador, apologized for when we backed the guys fighting the commie revolutionaries, and pledged another $200 million to help Latin American countries fight drug trafficking.

About time we invested a little money in that effort.

Since I am a man of vision, I'll take a stab at looking into my crystal ball and predict what Middle Eastern country we will lob missiles into next now that Andrea Mitchell has explained the Monroe Obama Doctrine to Chris Matthews, or the MSNBC "Butter and Egg Man'', Ed Schultz, or one of those mad-hatters at MSNBC.

The Obama doctrine is that whenever a government is harming its citizens and we have the support and authorization of the UN, we will act.

That means that Yemen, Bahrain, Syria, and Iran should be next, right?

"Uhhhhh.....yeaaaah."

But hold on there. A few years ago, this is what some back-bencher in Congress named Joe Biden had to say in 2007, when there was discussion of President George W Bush attacking Iran over that nuclear arms imbroglio.

And he didn't say it once....

Whatever happened to that guy?

But in all seriousness, I wish I was a smart guy like Jonathan Alter, for example, who could explain what our foreign policy is and how Obama has this big picture all figured out. Right now we have not one, not two, but three tar babies on our hands with 3 or 4 more around the next bend in the road.

I guess that's why it's called a Kinetic Military Action. Gotta move fast these days, you know.
