UC Irvine "Rage" October 7, 2024

The Students for Justice in Palestine called for a campus shutdown (of sorts) at UC Irvine today, the one-year anniversary of the October 7, 2023 attack and massacre of over 1,200 Israelis. Not to commemorate the Israeli victims, mind you, but rather to honor their own Hamas and Hezbollah "martyrs". Even the Houthis of Yemen were honored with several Yemeni flags alongside those of Lebanon and the mythical Palestinian state. In addition, there were a couple of representatives of the National Lawyers Guild present in their lime green caps, presumably to safeguard their constitutional rights.

All in all, instead of the campus-wide shutdown, they had envisioned, a few dozen protesters showed up wearing keffiyahs and chanted their tired old slogans. They called for revolution and intifada. They chanted from the river to the sea, they accused UCI Chancellor Howard Gillman of funding genocide, and they railed against the "military-industrial complex". As usual, it was young women leading the chants. For some reason, they seem to prefer to put their women out front at these events. After a half hour of this, they took off marching around Ring Road like the Pied Piper and the children of Hameln. I only stayed for the chants and took a few videos and photos before calling it a day.

In short, this was not much different than your usual chant-a-long, but what made it really obscene was the choice of the date. Other than that, it was business as usual, the above poster notwithstanding.

Hillel, for its part, set up a table down the road with posters giving the names of the hostages in Gaza along with a description of their kidnapping on October 7. A young female student sat "tied" to a chair with a yellow ribbon taping her mouth shut and playing the part of a hostage. In addition, the names of the hostages were scrawled in chalk along Ring Road near the flagpoles (obviously not by the pro-Hamas crowd). Interestingly, there was no mention of who attacked them, murdered them, raped them, and took them hostage (Hamas).

"Revolution", "Intifada"

SJP marches off into the sunset followed by the National Lawyers Guild "legal observer" in black with the lime green cap.

German Government Pledges Support to Israel and its German Jews Amid Wave of Anti-Semitism

-Anti-Jewish boycott in Germany 1933

-Kristallnacht 1938

Berlin 2024

On the one-year anniversary of the horrendous October 7, 2023 massacre by Hamas, Germany wrestles with an explosion of anti-Semitism in the country courtesy of the pro-Palestbian mobs who are openly celebrating the attack. The government is pledging solidarity with its Jewish citizens, yet it is its very policy of allowing millions of unvetted migrants and "refugees" in from the Middle East and other majority-Muslim countries that has allowed this explosion to occur-even before October 7 of last year.

It has taken over a half-century of effort and acknowledgment of the Nazi crimes for Germany to make itself a decent country again. Unfortunately, so much of that work is being undone, thanks mostly to its lax immigration policies, especially beginning in 2015. Now the country is dealing with Jew-hating mobs in its streets and open celebrations of October 7.

This article from yesterday's Deutsche Welle is translated by Fousesquawk.

Scholz on October 7: Solidarity with Jews

 October 6, 2024

On the first anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel, the federal government speaks out. Central Council President Schustert denounces anti-Israel demonstrations as "a new low point of humanity" in Germany.

Caption: Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz expresses understanding for people, who also in Germany, clearly express their concern about the conflict in the Middle East.

Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz has again pledged full solidarity with Jews in Germany on the anniversary of the Hamas attack on Israel. In his latest podcast, Scholz expressed understanding that many people in Germany also make clear their concern for the development of the Middle East conflict. "They also suffer and express their concern. How could it be otherwise?" said the Chancellor. "In our free society, one can always struggle for the best way and also argue as Democrats."

It can never be, however, that citizens of the Jewish faith in Germany have to live in fear and terror, that Jews no longer dare to go out of their homes wearing a kippa, or don't say they are Jewish in the universities. "Anti-Semitism and blind hatred of Israel we will never accept. The Jews here in Germany deserve the full solidarity of our nation-and the solidarity of all decent people in this country," says the SPD politician.

Baerbock reiterates full support for Israel

The Federal Foreign Minister, Annalena Baerbock (Green party) also pledged the full and complete support of Germany to the State of Israel and its people. In a guest article for "Bild am Sonntag", Baerbock addressed  a, "clear message to our Israeli friends. We stand on your side. Your security is part of our "raison d'Etat"'.

Caption: Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock pledged Germany's continued support to Israel on the anniversary of the terror attack.

At the same time, the foreign minister confirmed Israel's right to self-defense "against the violence of Hamas as well as against the rocket terror from Iran and Hezbollah," the Green politicians stressed  with a view to Israel's military action in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.

October 7, 2023 was for Jews a turning point in which there is only a "before" and "after". With its brutal attack, Hamas brought an entire region to the brink. "Also for us in Germany, October 7 is a turning point," Baerbock added. The USA, Germany, Israel, and several other nations label Hamas and Hezbollah as terror organizations.

The Central Council of Jews in Germany criticized the current anti-Israeli demonstrations as a new "low point of humanity in our society". In view of the announced anti-Israeli protests before the anniversary of the Hamas massacre, President Josef Schuster called for a realistic view of the entrenched Jew-hatred in Germany.

Caption: Josef Schuster, President of the Central Council of Jews, sees a serious danger for Jewish life in Germany.

As an example, on Saturday evening, he cited "the scenes of celebration on German streets after the rocket attack on Israel from Iran, as well as calls for open Israel-hate protests around the anniversary."

Whoever, in view of the anniversary of this terrible attack, isn't in position to "feel at least a bit of empathy for Jews, for the people of Israel, will never do so- and they have a serious problem," stressed the Central  Council president.  "If we in Germany do not clearly recognize and name this, that these people are among us, then we all have a serious problem. Then it threatens our open society, in which  human dignity above all collapses."

Israel's ambassador for a more consistent application of criminal laws

The Israeli ambassador to Germany, Ron Prosor, called for a more consistent application of criminal laws against anti-Semitism and hate against Israel. It must be prevented that "80 years after the end of the Second World War, Jews are afraid to live in Germany," Prosor told the news agency AFP. He denounced an "incomprehensible wave of anti-Semitism" since the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7 of last year.

Caption: Ron Prosor, Israeli ambassador to Germany

"The policy must be more clearly clarified that Jew-hatred and words like, 'Free Palestine from the River to the Sea' are punishable," Prosor demanded. With this slogan, which is also often heard in pro-Palestinian demonstrations in Germany, Israel is de facto denied the right to exist.

Vassar Pro-Palestinians to Celebrate October 7

The Muslim Student Association and Students for Justice in Palestine are holding an event at Vassar College on October 7, which they label as a "vigil for the martyrs of Palestine". That does not include the 1,200+ innocent Israeli Jews who were slaughtered on this date last year, raped, or kidnapped into Gaza, where some 100+ remain today.

No, this vigil is for Hamas, Hezbollah, and Palestinians who have been killed in the fighting that occurred after that horrible day. Make no mistake: This is a thinly-disguised celebration of what Hamas did on October 7.  It is designed to rub the victims and their family's noses into the dirt.

This would be akin to holding a vigil on September 11 for the al-Qaida terrorists who died fighting the Americans in Afghanistan after 9-11..

Shame.

October 7 Will Be a Day of Shame at UC Irvine

SJP announcement

Monday, October 7 there will be an obscene event at UC Irvine to mark the one-year anniversary of October, 2023 when the savages of Hamas massacred over 1,200 innocent Israelis including women and children. There was rape, torture, beheadings, babies burned alive, and hostages taken to Gaza where over 100 of them languish today.

And true to form, Students for Justice at Palestine will be celebrating the anniversary with some sort of despicable event to cheer Hamas and Hezbollah on, and probably Iran as well.

All in all, it's going to be an ugly day around the world as like-minded terrorist sympathizers and useful dolts take to the streets and the campuses to support Jew-hatred and terrorism. Today, we have reported on the riots in Rome by these creeps. Monday, no doubt, there will be many more all over Europe and the US.

Over the years, we have witnessed many ugly incidents at UC Irvine held under the banner of the Palestinian cause. Given the date, this promises to be the most shameful ever.

Italy: Egyptian Man Arrested for Preparing Terror Attack Against Catholic Church

Hat tip Gates of Vienna

-Il Giornale

Italian police in Bergamo (near Milan) have arrested a 22-year-old Egyptian man with an expired residence permit, who they say was proselytizing for terrorism on the Web and was preparing a terrorist attack against a nearby Catholic church.

The article below from RAI News has been translated by Fousesquawk.

Terrorism,  a 22-year-old arrested in Bergamo: Was preparing an attack against Catholics

Anti-terrorism police have arrested a 22-year-old Egyptian with an expired residence permit accused of advocating crimes aggravated by the aim of terrorism.

October 5, 2024  TG2 Perluigi Ferrari

The arrested person, a young Egyptian residing in Alzano Lombardo, was proselytizing for Islamic terrorism on the Web. The accusation against the man who was working in a pizzeria on via Garibaldi in Bergamo and was in Italy for a few months with an expired residence permit is that he was preparing for an attack against the faithful of Sant'Alessandro Church on via Sant'Alessandro in Colonna.

Pro-Palestinian Riots Break out Today in Rome

Today, Rome has broken out in riots on the part of pro-Palestinian activists. Police are being pelted with rocks, street poles, and anything the pro-Hamas mob can get their hands on. Below are photos from Italy's major news sources. This will be updated.

From Il Tempo (Translation by Fousesquawk).

Rome, the plaza of hate from pro-Pal(estinians): Thirty police officers injured in the clashes

October 5, 2024

Urban warfare and anti-Semitic hate in Rome. There are 30 law enforcement officers injured, twenty-six police officers, and four (Guardia di Finanza) in the clashes occurring during the pro-Palestinian demonstrations. The tension immediately led to riots: The demonstrators threw bottles, rocks, smoke bombs, and rudimentary bombs at the officers. The police responded with tear gas and used water cannons to disperse the violent enemies of the Jewish state, many of them hooded. A street sign pole was also thrown. However, four have been arrested. Two of these are accused of resistance, violence, and injury to a public official. (They are not in custody.) The (charges) against the other two are being evaluated.

La Stampa has video here showing rioters throwing a street sign pole at police.

Israel Frees Yazidi Girl From Sex Slavery in Gaza

I came across this article today in a Dutch Jewish site called, Nieuw Israelistisch Weekblad (New Israeli Weekly). It is about an 11-year-old  Yazidi girl who was kidnapped by ISIS in Iraq in 2014 and sold to a Palestinian terrorist as a sex slave. Eventually, she would up in Gaza, a prisoner of the man's family after he had been killed in an air strike. Thanks to the efforts of a Jewish businessman from Canada named Steven Maman, Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israel intelligence services, and the Israeli Defense Forces, this young woman has been freed and reunited with her family in Iraq.

The below article from Nieuw Israelistisch Weekblad is translated from Dutch by Fousesquawk. Note that the article has a link to an article by the Jerusalem Post reporting on the young woman's tragic plight. (in English).

I hope the reader will keep this in mind when you see images of pro-Hamas demonstrators in our streets and on our campuses, especially on October 7.

Israel frees Yazidi slave out of the hands of Palestinians in Gaza

Caption: Fawzia reunites with her family in Iraq

Fawzia Amin Sido was 11 years old when in 2014, she was kidnapped by Muslim terrorists of ISIS in Sinjar (northern Iraq) and sold to a Palestinian terrorist. Now she is back with her family. The driving forces behind her liberation: A Jewish businessman, the Israeli government, the intelligence services, and, of course, the Israeli Defense forces.

After Fawzia was sold from Raqqa, Syria to a Hamas-affiliated Palestinian child rapist from Gaza, for ten years she was abused and humiliated. In 2020, she landed in Gaza after a 4-year wandering  in Turkey and Egypt. Her "husband" was killed in the meantime, but Fawzia and her two small children further suffered under the treatment of the Palestinians in Gaza.

Maman convinced Premier Netanyahu of the importance of a rescue operation.

After the IDF killed one of the members of the "in-laws"-another Hamas terrorist- at the end of last year in an air strike, Fawzia , managed to flee. She found shelter in a safe house in the Gaza Strip that was run by the organization of the Moroccan-born Canadian Jewish businessman Steven Maman. Nicknamed the "Jewish Schindler", he has dedicated himself for years to the freeing of thousands of Christians and Yazidis kidnapped by Muslims.

Maman convinced Premier Netanyahu of the moral importance of a rescue operation. And while there are still about 100 Israeli hostages held in Gaza, of whom probably only half are alive. In any case, Fawzia is now reunited with her family in northern Iraq. More on her situation, including in her own words, and the work of Steven Maman, you can read here in the Jerusalem Post.

Austria: 6 Months in Jail for Two Afghans Who Sexually Groped Kids in Public Pool

-Heute

Yet another case of Afghan "refugees" committing crimes in Austria. Two Afghan males, who had just been admitted as refugees, got drunk, headed for a public pool, and began to grope kids in the pool. Their sentence amounts to 6 months in jail, with time served and no deportation because, after all, they came from Afghanistan. The victims, their families, and lawyers are outraged,

The below article from the Austrian daily, Heute (Today), is translated by Fousesquawk.

Children groped

Sentence is in: Refugees will soon be free after swimming pool (sexual) abuse

First confessed, then gaps in memory. Two Afghans, who allegedly (sexually) abused children, were irritating in court. Now the sentence is in.

-By Christian Tomsits

October 3, 2024 at 13:50

Caption: The two defendants hide their faces behind their hands.

After an initial confession, on Thursday, in the State Court of Vienna-Neustadt, two Afghans (29,30) suddenly had memory lapses-we reported. Now the sentence is in against the refugees who were arrested at a public swimming pool in their first few days in the country. Only 18 months partial custody for each, 6 of which are to be served unconditionally.

That means they will be free again in less than two months since pre-trial custody counts against the sentence imposed.

Caption: In Vienna-Neustadt, two Afghans are charged for allegedly sexually abusing several children in a public pool. They hide their faces from the cameras.

The two men, who first met each other in the initial reception center in Traiskirchen in the summer, allegedly sexually abused 6 children in the whirlpool of the well-known "Aqua-Splash" public pool in Traiskirchen.

"There, they took turns trying to touch children swimming by both underwater and above water," said the public prosecutor, who described the mutual "motivation and support". "My clients were heavily intoxicated," said the defense attorney. The refugees had consumed alcohol for the first time in their lives- and in the morning had emptied a bottle of vodka together.

Then the defendants, one of whom claimed to be a former police officer, and the other the father of two small children (6 and 8), became irritating with shocking memory gaps. Even before the criminal incidents in the whirlpool occurred, the men's memories apparently ended. "I really can't remember anymore if I touched the children, I'm sorry. A normal person doesn't do such a thing," one of the two said.

Caption: Public pool in Traiskirchen

Both were steadfast: The blame for the attack was the alcohol and not themselves. The two only remembered the way to the pool and later the arrest in the changing room. The statements from the children were unanimously clear. "He dove under us and touched us- on the thigh, on the stomach, and between the legs."

The children (9,11), represented by top lawyer Florian Höllwarth, each asked for 3,000 euros in compensation-another victim wanted a "symbolic" 500 euros for her suffering. "She was afraid to go outside the entire summer," said her lawyer.

The Afghans wanted to pay 100 euros in damages

Ultimately, the 6 victims were awarded between 500-1,000 euros. In the trial, the defendants only agreed to 100 euros per child. The sentence is not yet final.  Deportation for both perpetrators is not currently possible. The Interior Minister told Heute ("Today") that they are working on a repatriation agreement with Afghanistan.

Politicians horrified after sentence

"How is 6 months in jail with full meals for two Afghans supposed to be a deterrent?" stated LH representative Udo Landbauer, FPÖ, (Austrian People's Party) shortly after the sentence. "The perpetrators will be free before Christmas and can put this chapter behind them. For the parents and children, a serious slap in the face," said the ("Blue") politician, who once again is calling for an asylum halt and strict deportations, including to Afghanistan.

France: Verdict Expected in Trial of Charlie Hebdo Conspirator- Update: Guilty- Life in Prison

Peter Cherif

Peter Cherif, a co-conspirator in the 2015 attack against the satirical magazine, Charlie Hebdo, has been convicted and sentenced to life in prison for his role in planning the attack in which 12 people were murdered. He must serve at least 22 years.

The below article from today's Le Figaro is translated by Fousesquawk. Please note that just as the translation was finished, the verdict came in, and the text of the link was updated and has changed considerably. At the bottom, I have added the translation of the updated headline.

Charlie Hebdo attack: Verdict expected in trial of jihadist Peter Cherif, associate of the attackers

By Le Figaro with Agence France Presse

Just posted

Caption: Peter Cherif, alleged associate of the Kouachi brothers, perpetrators of the attack against Charlie Hebdo in 2015 at the time of his extradition to France at the International Airport of Djibouti on December 22, 2018

The verdict for the person considered the "architect" of the Charlie Hebdo attack will come down this evening. The prosecution has asked for life imprisonment for him.
The Special Criminal Court of Paris is rendering its verdict Thursday evening in the trial of the jihadist Peter Cherif, the "architect" of the Charlie Hebdo attack in January 2015 according to the prosecution which has asked for life imprisonment for him. At the end of almost three weeks of trial, the court retired to deliberate in the late morning.
On Wednesday, the two prosecutors present at the trial requested life imprisonment for him, asking that a minimum of 22 years be served. The attorneys for Peter Cherif, in their pleas Thursday morning, denounced (what they termed) a "fixed match". For Attorney Nabil El Ouchikli, "the purpose of the public prosecutor,  is to eliminate Peter Cherif, and for that, we are all obliged to condemn him in relation to the attacks," in January 2015.
The 42-year-old defendant has been on trial since September for association with criminal terrorist criminals between 2011 and 2018, the period of his presence in Yemen with Al Qaida Arabian Peninsula (Aqpa). He is accused of having joined this jihadist organization, and in that framework, having participated with his childhood friend, Cherif Kouachi, in the planning of the attack committed January 7, 2015 against the satirical newspaper, Charlie Hebdo, in which 12 people were murdered.  Aqpa claimed credit for the attack.
"Maximum" danger
He also appeared in the 2011 organized gang kidnapping of three French nationals, members of the NGO, Triangle Generation Humanitaire, (which) lasted more than 5 months.
Even though he exercised his right to silence during most of the trial, Peter Cherif admitted being one of the jailers of the three humanitarians, having served as "translator" to interface between the hostages and their Yemeni kidnappers from Al Qaida. On the other hand, he denied having played a role in the attack against Charlie Hebdo.
On Wednesday, the prosecutors had asked that he be declared "guilty" of all charges against him, painting a portrait for more than 4 hours of an "integral jihadist" who was "the cornerstone of planning" for the attack on Charlie Hebdo, the danger of whom according to them, is still "maximum".

*Update: The verdict is in. Life imprisonment with a minimum 22 years to be served.
Headline: Charlie Hebdo attack: The jihadist Peter Cherif is sentenced to life imprisonment.

Complaint Filed With DOE Against University of Washington

The Louis D Brandeis Center for Human Rights Under the Law has filed a complaint with the Dept. of Education, Office of Civil Rights alleging that the university has failed to take action to protect Jewish students in the face of repeated acts of anti-Semitism on campus, springing from the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The complaint can be accessed here.

"Jewish students at the University of Washington (“UW” or “the University”) have been subjected to severe and persistent harassment and discrimination on the basis of their shared ancestry and ethnicity, which has created a hostile environment on campus. Jewish students have been threatened with physical harm, excluded and forced out of areas on campus they are entitled to access, and unable to attend class. Vandals have repeatedly covered the campus with anti-Semitic graffiti calling for violence against Zionists. Just two weeks ago, aggressive anti-Israel protestors succeeded in shutting down a Board of Regents meeting at the University, where Jewish members of the University and community were testifying about antiSemitism on campus, thereby further contributing to the ongoing hostile climate at UW. Despite its knowledge about these and other anti-Semitic incidents, the University has not taken meaningful steps to address the hostile climate for Jewish students at UW."

-From Introduction

Obviously, I applaud this action and hope that many more will follow. Maximum pressure must be put on these universities and their officials to do their job and protect all their students. If they refuse to do their duty, they do not deserve to remain in their positions, and their institutions deserve no public funding or private donations.
