Netherlands: 4 Sentenced for Anti-Jewish Pogrom

Amsterdam, November 2024
-Times of Israel

Last November, a soccer match in Amsterdam involving a visiting Israeli team ended in a pogrom when Israeli fans and other Jews were violently attacked after the match by Jew-hating thugs, mostly, if not all from Middle Eastern backgrounds.

Today, a judge sentenced 4 of those charged to jail terms up to 12 weeks for their roles in the violence. The heaviest sentence was for a defendant identified only as Cenk D, for inciting violence and condoning the Holocaust in a WhatsApp posting.

In Israel, the light sentences were understandably greeted with disgust. The Times of Israel has a more detailed account with the first names of all of the defendants.

The below article from Telegraaf is translated by Fousesquawk.

Jail sentences for role in Jew-hunt after Ajax-Maccabi Tel Aviv: Cenk D. charged with condoning Holocaust

Posted today at 12:13

On Wednesday, the Amsterdam Criminal Court sentenced 4 men to up to 12 weeks in jail for their role in the Amsterdam riots surrounding the soccer match between Ajax- Maccabi Tel Aviv last November. They were convicted for among other things, inciting violence and insulting statements about Jews.

Caption: The judge has sentenced four men to jail terms of up to 12 weeks for their role in the riots after the Ajax-Maccabi Tel Aviv (match).

Even before the soccer match at the end of last year, unrest was growing in the city. After the match, violent incidents took place in the center of Amsterdam,. Fans of Maccabi were often the targets of violence. Israeli fans also misbehaved but were subsequently victims of a "Jew hunt", which led to shock in the Netherlands and internationally.

Condoning the Holocaust

The judge sentenced 27-year-old Cenk D. to 12 weeks in jail. The judge heavily considered that in Whatsapp postings, he condoned the Holocaust. "The Jewish persecution in the Second World War is one of the most shocking events in the history of mankind. It has caused untold suffering. Right up to the present day," said the judge. Prosecution for condoning the Holocaust is a relatively new article of law, which up to now, has been applied one time.

An Article From Aruba on Papiamentu

About 20 years ago when I was researching my book on the history of the Papiamentu creole language of the Dutch Antilles (The Story of Papiamentu- A Study in Slavery and Language, University Press of America, 2002), I interviewed Ramon Todd Dandaré, who is a scholar on the history and evolution of Papiamentu on the island of Aruba.

By chance, I came across this article in Diario, the Papiamentu-language newspaper of Aruba featuring an article on a talk Ramon gave at the Aruban National Library. I thought I would translate it, partially because it just gives me a little more practice in the language. The article itself is brief, so it only gives a brief overview of what Ramon had to say, which I am sure was in much more detail.

Papiamentu became very quickly the language of the entire population, including also the Caquetio indigenous people

March 17, 2025

Ramon Todd Dandaré, teacher of linguistics: The evolution and emancipation of Papiamentu

Oranjestad (Aruba) In the framework of the International Day of the Mother Language, a very interesting talk took place today at the Aruba National Library given by Ramon Todd Dandaré, teacher of linguistics on the topic: The evolution and emancipation of Papiamentu-from language of the slave to language of the university.

In relation to this talk, which was offered during the past two nights, Todd Dandaré elaborated on the origin and evolution of Papiamentu and indicated the following: Papiamentu is an Atlantic creole language and is the official national language of Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao (the ABC islands). It is a language born and evolved in slavery, and, the same as the slaves, Papiamentu had to fight and is still fighting to achieve its complete emancipation and total recognition.

Same as the majority of the territories of the Caribbean, the ABC islands are multilingual and multicultural. In the case of multilingualism, which concerns the local national and official language, Papiamentu, the majority language on all three islands, the colonial language, Dutch, and the languages of the former colonized and immigrant population: English and Spanish. In addition to a large quantity of other languages spoken on the islands. Multiculturalism not only pervades the Aruban culture itself, rather along with this, is a culture that lives alongside and together with the Aruban (culture).

Origin of Papiamentu

Considering that Papiamentu arose and evolved principally on Curaçao, we can deduce the following: Papiamentu originated as a so-called proto-African-Portuguese creole on the West Coast of Africa, particularly Cabo Verde, from where, together with the African slaves, it arrived on Curaçao, continuing to evolve after which it spread to Aruba and Bonaire for its later evolution on all three islands (and later also in the Netherlands) taking on over the course of time, the necessary influences of all the ethnic-social groups of inhabitants of the islands up to the present day and of the island population in the Netherlands.

Evolution of Papiamentu

From the beginning, Papiamentu rapidly became the language of all the people of Curaçao and later the general language of the other two islands. In the 17th century, the population of Curaçao consisted of 4 ethnic-social groups: The ruling Dutch Protestant class, the ruling Portuguese-Jewish class, who arrived on Curaçao in 1654, the Caquetio indigenous population, and the African slaves, who were under the domination of and in contact with the two ruling classes and the Caquetios.

Among other things, because of their native languages, the Dutch and the Jews could not communicate easily with each other and/or did not want to lower themselves to communicate in the language of the other group. Aside from this, in the streets of Punda, Dutch, Jews, as well as slaves, lived near each other and next to each other.

As a result, the two groups, the Jews and the Dutch, made use of the slave language, as they themselves called it, as a lingua franca to communicate with each other. In contrast to what generally happens, the governing upper class did not impose its language on the lower slave class, nor did the colonizers  initially impose their language on the location that was colonized. That is the principal reason why Papiamentu very quickly became the language of the entire population, including also the indigenous Caquetios.

France: Just Another Day in a French School

I remember about 25 years ago reading an article concerning education in which the author related a conversation he was having with a high-ranking education official in Paris. The official told the author that on any day, at any hour, he knew exactly what subject was being taught in every public school in France. The theme of the article was that such top-down centralized control of education was a bad thing, a topic we are having today in regard to our own Department of Education and President Trump's attempt to disband it.

None of which has anything to do with the below article from the French site, Valeurs Actuelles. It's just a lead-in to the state of affairs in France. That's because virtually every day, like clockwork, students, teachers, and anyone else present on a school campus are being assaulted, threatened, or otherwise injured by the usual suspects. Generally, the weapon of choice in France seems to be the knife.

So it was earlier today at a school in the northern French town of Auby when two female students were accosted and threatened with a knife and sprayed with tear gas by three male students, whom the Valeurs Actuelle described in the most insensitive of manner as, "North African types". (They were probably quoting somebody else.)

Auby, France

The article below is translated by Fousesquawk.

North: Two (female) students attacked at knifepoint by three (male) students in Auby

One of the arrested suspects placed a knife to the throat of one of the victims, none of whom were injured.

Three male students attacked two female students without apparent reason in Auby in the north during a noon break, on Monday, 17 March, according to our information. They were arrested and placed in custody.

The perpetrators also sprayed the adolescents with tear gas. A professor intervened, then the school principal, (who was) alerted, called the police. The knife and the tear gas canister were found on the male students.

The two victims were not injured. The three suspects, of "North African type" were arrested, transported to the Douai police station, and placed in custody, a police source indicates. An investigation has been opened.

Columbia University Apartheid Divest (CUAD)

Mahmoud Khalil
-USA Today

As a sign of just how bad things have gotten at Columbia University, there is a coalition of 94 off-the-wall student groups making up the Columbia University Apartheid Divest (CUAD). Among the many silly organizations of identity-centered victims, you will most prominently find Students for Justice in Palestine (an arm of Hamas) and Jewish Voice for Peace, a deceptively named group who, in fact, are soulmates of SJP.

It should be noted at the outset that the Syrian student currently in ICE custody, Mahmoud Khalil, is a leading member of CUAD.

In November 2023, not long after the infamous October 7 attacks against innocent Israelis, mostly civilians, CUAD posted a piece in the campus newspaper, Columbia Spectator, outlining their goals-which go far beyond the Palestinian issue.

"Our coalition was reactivated in October 2023 in response to the overwhelming support for Palestinian freedom from students on Columbia’s campus."

(October 8, I would bet.)

In August 2024, Campus Reform ran a piece quoting CUAD's description of their goals in an Instagram post  (which has apparently since been deleted).

”We are Westerners fighting for the total eradication of Western civilization. We stand in full solidarity with every movement for liberation in the Global South. Our Intifada is an internationalist one-we are fighting for nothing less than the liberation of all people. We reject every genocidal, eugenicist regime that seeks to undermine the personhood of the colonized.”

”As the fascism ingrained in the American consciousness becomes ever more explicit and irrefutable, we seek community and instruction from militants in the Global South, who have been on the frontlines in the fight against tyranny and domination which undergird the imperialist world order.”

Returning to the subject of Mahmoud Khalil, he is a Syrian national and not a US citizen. I would argue he is also not a "Westerner", but that is another issue. Knowing the stated goals of CUAD and knowing that he is a leading member of CUAD and has allegedly engaged in pro-Hamas activity at Columbia, including allegedly handing out  Hamas propaganda pamphlets or leaflets, is it not reasonable to deport this man?

CAIR Under Investigation for Financial Irregularites

Hat tip Counter Jihad Coalition

Hussam Ayloush during a 2013 meltdown in Anaheim when asked about CAIR's relationship with Hamas

The Hamas-linked Council for American Islamic Relations (CAIR) is once again in the news for all the wrong reasons. It seems that over 7 million dollars in federal funding (a scandal in itself) cannot be accounted for. And it looks like our old friend, CAIR's CEO in Los Angeles, Hussam Ayloush-no stranger to controversy - is in the middle of it. What else is new?

The NY Post has the story here.

It is an outrage that any branch of CAIR should be receiving public funding. This organization has been under investigation on and off ever since its founding three decades ago. It is an arm of the Muslim Brotherhood and a supporter of Hamas-a US -designated terrorist organization (for the benefit of those who haven't been reading the news lately). Its national director, the oily Nihad Awad, publicly celebrated Hamas' hideous attack on October 7, 2023 in which over 1,200 innocent Israelis, women, children, and infants, were raped and butchered with another 250 kidnapped into Gaza-including American citizens.

And CAIR celebrated.

It is time for the FBI to reopen its case files into this despicable and subversive organization. They know full well who the players are.

Tren de Aragua: "Welcome to El Salvador"

This article first appeared in New English Review.

If I gauge the mood of the American public correctly, the people are overwhelmingly supportive of President Trump's policy of removing foreign criminals and campus troublemakers from our country. The liberal judges may not like it, but over 200 Venezuelan Tren de Aragua thugs are now sitting in an El Salvador prison. Given the horrendous nature of the crimes they are committing few will lament the departure of these animals. Indeed, a judge tried to stop it, but the plane was already in the air, landed, and the Tren de Aragua members are now comfortably being hosted by the El Salvadoran penal system. What an ingenuous move by Trump and El Salvador's no-nonsense president, Nayib Bukele.

And given what has been going on at Columbia University, only the liberals and progressive Democrats are sad that a Syrian-Palestinian graduate student named Mahmoud Khalil is now sitting at an ICE detention center somewhere in Louisiana. A federal judge is trying to stop it, but all indications are that the move to deport this guy is on solid legal ground.

Columbia, which has arguably been the worst university in the country for the past several years in terms of anti-Jewish, pro-Palestinian, pro-Hamas disruption and vandalism, not to mention the constant harassment of Jewish students, has erased all doubt in recent weeks. As we speak, New York City is having to deal with mobs of keffiyeh-wearing, Palestinian-waving troublemakers, and misfits protesting the arrest of Khalil. But for those of us who not only support Israel and oppose anti-Semitism, as well as care about our own country, it seems reasonable that a foreigner who comes to our country to study at a prestigious institution and who leads campus disruptions, occupations, vandalism, encampments, hands out Hamas propaganda, and creates a hostile campus for Jews at Columbia, has forfeited his or her right to remain in our country. Indeed, Khalil is the very caricature of an undesirable alien.

The right to enter our country-or any country- is a privilege granted by the receiving country. It is not a right. An issuance of a visa spells out the conditions under which you are allowed to be in the country for a determinate length of time. Free speech aside, the disruption of campus operations is against the law. Inciting hate against one of our ethnic or religious groups is against our values even if engaging in protected hate speech. No doubt the leftist judges and groups like the ACLU will try to stop the removal of undesirables from our country, but I am confident that Trump and his team-particularly Attorney General Pam Bondi, and Border Czar Tom Homan are going to prevail.

Lest I be accused of xenophobia, I support legal immigration; I am married to an immigrant. However, we can have no tolerance for those who come here to commit crimes or incite disorder and anti-Semitism on our campuses. To use an old phrase:

We don't need them, we don't want them, and the sooner they are gone, the better off we will be.

Stephen A. Smith Interview with Tom Homan

-Daily Caller

Last night I watched the video of Stephen A. Smith's interview this week with Border Czar Tom Homan. Smith is not just a sports commentator; he has a lot of insight into many issues not related to sports. This interview was the best interview I have seen with Homan. Smith asked good questions, and Homan, as he always does, explained very eloquently why he and the Trump administration are taking the actions they are doing to secure our border and remove criminal illegal aliens. The interview is 25 minutes long, and  I urge everybody regardless of their stance on deportations, to watch. It can be accessed here.

Furthermore, Mr Kakiashvili and the victim are in a relationship with each other. He is her husband.

Wanted man considered dangerous

"At this time, it cannot be ruled out that the wanted man poses a danger to the public," the police say.

Should people come across the wanted man, they should immediately call the police. The police warn,  "Please do not put  yourself in danger."

Attack was "a crime of attempted murder"

The crime took place around 10 am on line 3, (and) the tram was traveling to the most heavily-inhabited city quarter of Lusan. There is a large prefabricated residential settlement here.

When the emergency stop was activated and the doors of the tram opened, the attacker was able to flee. The police are investigating a "crime of attempted murder".

The family lived in the eastern quarter

According to Bild's information, both the victim and perpetrator are Georgians. Both reportedly boarded the tram together. The police would not confirm Bild's information, but they searched the residence of both (victim and perpetrator) in the eastern quarter of Gera.

As Bild learned, a scent sample was taken here, so that the search dog could trace the man's flight route.

The victim of the fire was flown to a special clinic in a rescue helicopter.

Tram driver extinguished the (fire)

With presence of mind, the tram driver grabbed a fire extinguisher at the Gruner Weg stop and put out the fire (on the 46-year-old).

The critically injured Georgian woman was treated medically at the scene and flown to a hospital in a rescue helicopter.

Caption: The tram driver fought the flames with this fire extinguisher.

Investigation of crime of attempted murder

"We are investigating a crime of attempted murder. Whether the flammable liquid was gasoline is still under investigation," said police spokeswoman Katja Ridder.

Bottle on tram seized

On the tram-in the doorway- the perpetrator allegedly left a crushed 1.5-liter bottle. According to the label, the actual content was orange-colored ACE- multi-fruit juice, but in the bottle was found a cloudy yellow liquid-similar to gasoline.

Caption: This bottle was found on the tram. Did the perpetrator squirt flammable liquid from it?

Passengers cared for by religious clerics

There were reportedly about 10 passengers on the tram; they had to witness the terrible act. The people were cared for by experts at the scene. According to police, none of them were injured. They are now considered important witnesses.

Spain: Town Hit with Riots After Imam Evicted

-E-Noticies.ca.(Spain)

For two consecutive nights this week, the municipality of Salt (Girona) was hit with disturbances after a local imam and his family were evicted from their residence for non-payment of rent.

The below article from yesterday's Telemadrid is translated by Fousesquawk. It has video of the disturbances.

6 arrests in Salt (Girona) in protests over eviction of an imam and his family.

Last night's (protest) was the second consecutive protest in Salt where two minor injuries have been recorded.

March 12, 2025-17:45 (Updated March 12, 2025-17:46)

Last night, Catalan police arrested 6 persons in Salt (Girona) after altercations occurred in this municipality during the course of a protest against the eviction of an imam and his family, in which an officer was slightly injured and a neighbor was hit by a rock.

The protest in front of the Salt City Hall, attended by about 100 people, led to incidents of throwing objects like rocks and cans against the police line and police vehicles, according to what police sources of told EFE (news agency).

The root of these incidents was (was when) police arrested 6 persons accused of crimes of public disorder and attacks against a police officer.

In addition, an officer of the Catalan police was slightly injured after which, a protester threw a rock against the car in which he was seated which caused a smashed window that injured the officer.

The (protest) last night was the second consecutive protest in Salt over the eviction of the imam and his family. The first protest occurred without notable incidents, and the police made no arrests.

The origin of the protest began last Friday when, according to police sources, the eviction of the imam and his family from the home they had occupied for the past 5 years was carried out.

The property (owner), a large landholder, installed an alarm and video surveillance cameras last Monday that alerted that this person, accompanied by two others, had broken the police seal and had again accessed the residence.

In this situation, the Catalan Police carried out another eviction that caused the first incidents in the form of protests.

The most serious altercations happened last night with the second crowd of some 100 persons and clashes with police.

Municipal sources said that they had intended to offer the evicted family an alternative residence, but  they did not meet the requirements to access the local housing pool.

Nevertheless, the situation of the family is complicated since there are many difficulties in accessing free market housing.

The city council, local police, and Catalan police are in conversations with the imam's community as well as other groups in Salt to mediate the conflict.

The daughter of the evicted imam, Henda Diawara, claimed that her father "has nothing to do " with the disturbances. "We didn't want them to do it, and if they did it, it is because they wanted to and did not involve my father. My father, in fact, tried to stop it. My father has nothing to do with this."

The mayor of Salt (Girona), Jordi Viñas, has disassociated the acts of vandalism recorded in the municipality with the eviction of the imam, an action he denies was the result of the process of radicalization. These acts "cannot happen in Salt or any other place."

Viñas has reviewed the disturbances, in which street furniture. windows of police cars, three parking meters, surveillance cameras, and a dozen trash dumpsters were destroyed, for which 6 persons were arrested Tuesday by police.

For its part the Union of the Autonomous Police of Catalunia (USPAC) issued a statement Wednesday in which it has called tonight's protests as a "prelude" to rising tensions in Salt. "The audacity of planting yourselves in front of a police station to heckle police. throwing rocks and eggs, causing large disturbances, damage to street furniture and burning dumpsters leaves us with images more suitable to a third world country than a democratic society," the text adds.

The union reiterates that "what happened last night is only the tip of the iceberg," and criticizes both politicians and police commanders while thanking the work of the officers who work on the streets.

Austria: Teacher Victim of Sexual Abuse by Students

Viewer warning: Disturbing contents

Vienna-Favoriten

I don't know how long countries in Europe like Austria can continue to tolerate this. In Vienna, a teacher was allegedly the victim of continued sexual abuse by a group of teenage students. According to the below article from Krone (Austria), 5 youths are charged with rape, extortion, and arson. The article is translated by Fousesquawk.

Victim (29) lost child

Teacher raped: 5 young men in custody

Vienna  Match 13, 2025 17:12

A new case of serial abuse has shocked Vienna: The State Prosecutor's Office is currently investigating alleged sexual crimes and other serious accusations against a group of youths ages 14 to 17. According to information to Krone, the victim is a 29-year-old teacher.

Specifically, proceedings are being conducted against 7 young men in all for suspicion of rape, extortion, and arson. Five of them, all minors, are in investigative custody, a spokeswoman for the State Prosecutor's office officially confirmed on Thursday afternoon.

Meanwhile, the first details from the court file are leaking out. The victim is a 29-year-old Viennese woman, as Krone learned. Some of the suspects have Iraqi, Romanian, Afghan (2), and Austrian (2) nationality.

Lost child

As has also been confirmed: The Viennese woman reportedly began an "intimate relationship" about a year ago with the eldest of the accused. Apparently, she then became pregnant by the 17-year-old and was pressured by him to have an abortion-the young teacher subsequently lost her baby, according to court sources.

Victim was extorted

Previously, recordings were reportedly made of sexual encounters, and the woman was subsequently blackmailed. She reportedly had to procure and take drugs, as well as pay money. The victim feared termination from her school.

Ultimately, she was reportedly raped by three young men for "several hours" on two separate days. Her apartment was also set on fire, according to court files. Out of shame and fear, the victim of abuse remained silent for almost a year- only after an act of desperation, did everything come out.

Suspects refused to make statements

The accused, at least the 17-year-old, a former student in the alleged victim's Vienna school, for the most part, exercised their right to remain silent. One only admitted the drug dealing but denied any other guilt.

Another confessed to having photographed the victim's bank withdrawal card-the sexual intercourse was "voluntary".

Similar abuse cases

The gruesome act brings to mind other serious abuse cases. The Anna case sparked outrage in all of Austria. The girl was abused over several months by youths in Vienna-Favoriten. In another case, two schoolgirls in Salzburg, ages 15 and 16, were sexually abused by a group of youths.

Sweden: Foxtrot Network Hit With US Sanctions and Frozen Assets

We have written often about the Foxtrot Network, a mostly Sweden-based criminal gang consisting of members from mostly-Muslim countries, most recently in connection with recent attacks on Israeli missions in Stockholm and Copenhagen. In a very positive development, the Trump administration has imposed sanctions on the gang.

The below article in SVT is translated by Fousesquawk.

Caption: SVT's Fouad Youcefi: How the Foxtrot Network is affected by sanctions

USA imposes sanctions against Foxtrot Network and Rawa Majid

Updated today 17:33   Posted today 15:39

On Wednesday, the USA announced it was imposing sanctions against the criminal Foxtrot Network and Rawa Majid, who is identified as its leader.

The decision mentions, among other things, an attack against Israel's embassy in Stockholm.

On Wednesday, the US Treasury Department's Office of Federal Assets Control (OFAC) announced that sanctions would be imposed on the fugitive Rawa Majid and the Foxtrot Network.

The sanctions order, according to the American authority, is based on, among other things, an attack against Israel's embassy in Stockholm in January 2024. According to the decision, the network reportedly planned and orchestrated an attack against the embassy on behalf of Iran's government.

In the decision, OFAC writes that Rawa Majid personally worked together with Iran's security service, which SVT reported earlier.

"The Treasury Department and the USA government, together with international partners, will continue to hold those responsible who enable Iran's thuggish and destabilizing agenda," writes US Treasury Secretary, Scott Bessent, in a statement.

The US is imposing sanctions against the fugitive Rawa Majid and the criminal Foxtrot Network.

US Secretary of State comments on sanctions

In connection with the order, there is also a statement from the US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, where he describes the Foxtrot Network as a notorious criminal gang with its base in Sweden and a prominent actor in the region's drug trade.

The group is involved in weapons smuggling and a is a contributor to the rising crime in northern Europe, where they are behind shootings, contract murders, and attacks," writes Rubio, who also points out contacts with Iran and its security service.

The sanctions mean that all property and all interests in property in the US, which belong to the sanctioned (persons/organization) will be frozen. That also applies to property under the control of persons in the US. In today's sanctions, there are also travel restrictions for those covered by them.

Strömmer sees the decision positively

After the decision, Justice Minister Gunnar Strömmer (Moderate party) commented on the US decision.

"From the Swedish side, we see the step taken by the USA positively, which means influential actors in the network can be disrupted and prevented from carrying out their criminal activity. The US decision to impose sanctions against an influential Swedish actor can hopefully contribute to further strengthening operational work carried out by the authorities," Justice Minister Gunnar Strömmer tells SVT.

At the same time as the decision comes from the US, SVT can see that earlier active accounts on Instagram and TikTok connected to the network have disappeared.
