Political Science at The Ohio State University

If I had a name like Dr Nathaniel Swigger, I would keep a low profile. Not so, this professor at The Ohio State University. Apparently, teaching political  science at The OSU means going off on rants attacking politicians you don't like-in this case (as in all cases, actually) Republicans.

Seriously, this is the kind of discourse one might here at the local pub. It hardly passes for a scholarly discussion of politics. And I can assure you the pub is much cheaper.

Free Speech in Canada

Antifa Thugs Storm Free Speech Event in London

Not exactly reminiscent of Tom Brown's Schooldays, but here we have another example of how the thugs of Antifa operate. A free speech event at London's King College was stormed by the, umm, storm troopers forcing a  cancellation of the event. A couple of the storm troopers paid the price, however, as the below-linked videos show.

Italy Leads the Way

Sunday's election in Italy represents a tremendous victory for the forces that want to save the country-and Europe from uncontrolled migration and the rising power of Islam in the country as represented by the fact that the majority of the migrants entering Italy are Muslim.

We don't yet know who will become the next prime minister-my hope is it will be Matteo Salvini of the Lega North, but the Partito Democratico and Matteo Renzi are out and a center right coalition will take power.

Brussels and the EU will no doubt react in alarm because they see the challenge to their power.

This is a great day for Italy and for Europe.

Another Oscars Stinker

"What are you wearing?"


I didn't intend to watch the Oscars last night, but since my son and daughter-in-law came for dinner, I played the good host and sat there with them watching the annual festivities until they left. So I watched roughly half of the show. Once they left, I went upstairs to read.

As usual, what I saw disgusted me. It was yet another masked ball featuring Hollywood's elite congratulating themselves not only for their film accomplishments, but also for being so much more progressive and sophisticated than us rubes. Naturally, the MC, Jimmy Kibbel, had to get in his political digs at President Trump and anything conservative. Most of the presenters had to bore us with their views on the world, Trump. the NRA, and who knows what else before opening the damn envelope and announcing the winner. Some guy sang a rap song with a reference to the NRA and " a president who trolls hate" (Trump). There was Nasty Woman Ashley Judd and two other actresses doing a "trilogue" blasting conservatives and telling us that our "time was up". Everybody was pronouncing their solidarity with Dreamers, "immigrants", and other "oppressed" groups.

And how ironic was it when they had a feature showing us how many movies they had made over the years honoring our military? The scenes flashed by so fast it was impossible to take notes, but I did notice that one of the first images was that of Demi Moore in the movie, "A Few Good Men", which was anything but praising of our military. I would bet some of the other images came from films like "Apocalypse Now", "Full Metal Jacket", "Platoon",  and who knows how many others that portrayed our troops as homicidal . For every movie Hollywood has made about our military since the 1960s, that was positive, they have made three which were negative.

One of the nice features of the show was when Kibbel and a few others ducked out of the hall and went to the Chinese Theater nearby to surprise a crowd of movie-goers attending another event. One attendee was even invited by Kibbel to introduce the next presenters. Alas, even that was screwed up by the sight of actresses throwing chocolate bars into the audience kind of like when you throw peanuts to the monkeys in the zoo.

But how hypocritical is it for these Hollywood elites to preach to us about gun violence when the industry has 100 years of movies glorifying gun violence to its "credits"? How can they lecture us about the sexual exploitation of women when you consider the age-old casting couch and the nudity and sex scenes that are almost obligatory in movies nowadays? Harvey Weinstein was an open secret in Hollywood for two decades until one woman finally came forward. How many of those self-righteous actresses have never taken off their clothes in a movie?

French Judge Recognizes the Obvious

Last year, a 65-year-old French Jewish woman, Sarah Halimi, was brutally murdered by a 27-year-old Muslim man in her own apartment. Just now, as the case winds it way through French courts, has a judge made a finding of the obvious: The murder was committed out of Jew hatred. Inspector Clouseau could have figured that out on Day One.

It is truly amazing how much time and effort is wasted getting at the truth. Is it any wonder that French Jews are getting out of the country as fast as they can? As we all know, when France was occupied by the Nazis, all too many French were more than happy to cooperate with the Germans in turning over French Jews for deportation and murder. The German Nazis are gone, but new Nazis have arrived, Jew-hating Muslim immigrants, and once again, the French are showing themselves unwilling to protect their Jewish citizens.

A 27-year-old Palestinian man from the UAW has been convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison for a stabbing spree that left one dead in Hamburg last year. Ahmad Alhaw told authorities he wanted to go on a jihad and kill as many Christians as possible,

French National Front leader and presidential candidate last year Marine LePen is now facing possible prosecution for posting images of ISIS murders on her Twitter account. She actually faces three years in prison for reporting the news.



My God, what kind of democracy is this in France? What if she had posted images of the Holocaust-would she face prosecution for anti-German hate speech? This is why we need to guard our First Amendment rights here in America. There is a world-wide effort to criminalize any expression that offends Islam. It must be fought back. It seems the Europeans (at least West Europeans) have surrendered their right of free speech when it comes to Islam.

If Europe doesn't wake up soon, they will find themselves back in the dark ages only with different masters.
