The Beat Goes on in Germany:Music Concert Evacuated

Yesterday, the Rock am Ring music concert in Nürburgring, Germany was suspended and evacuated due to what police considered a credible terror threat. Tens of thousands of people had to be evacuated and police searched the grounds. I am posting the German report without sub-titles as the video shows you what was involved. Fortunately, the evacuation was orderly. It looks like the weekend-long concert is being resumed.

As already reported here, a man has been stabbed to death in Oldenburg, Germany for eating ice cream during the daylight hours of Ramadan, while in Paris, a Frenchman was attacked by a Muslim man with a knife as he was carrying a case of beer out of a store. The attacker tried to slash the man's throat. Now we learn that police in the West Bank have arrested four people including Christians for eating in public during the daylight hours of Ramadan.

Update on the Dearborn Raid

Here is an update on the FBI raid last night at a house in Dearborn. It apparently involves an investigation into someone suspected of aiding terrorists but no immanent threat of an attack.

Hillary's Latest Excuse: The DNC Let Her Down

It would be an understatement to say that Hillary Clinton has become a caricature of herself. After all, that happened years ago. Nevertheless, her trail of excuses as to why she lost the election is growing by the week. Now it's the DNC that let her down. Seems the DNC was out-organized by the RNC, a hard proposition to swallow. Here is Hillary speaking this week at something called the Recode conference in Southern California.

What's next, Hillary-climate change?

Of course, this critique and analysis will hardly get me on Fox News, but once again, Hillary is ignoring the myriad of scandals that have enveloped her ever since she was first lady, which are too long to list here. It is important to mention, however, Benghazi, her negligence before the attack, her inaction during the attack, and her cover-up and obfuscations after the attack. It is also important to mention the email mess, which like Benghazi, showed the public that she was not fit to be president. In short, the woman is certified incompetent and corrupt.

Also, let's not forget Hillary's chalk-on-the-blackboard personality. The woman may be popular among feminists, but she turned even liberals off. When it was learned just how she and the DNC
cheated Bernie Sanders of any chance to win the nomination, many Democrats found that too much to swallow. Yes, the DNC that she now blames was working in tandem with her campaign to defeat Sanders.

I also find it hard to accept her thesis that the Republicans out-organized the DNC. The Democrats are known for their "ground game", which includes illegal alien voters, payoffs, and getting people to the polls by any means necessary, registered or not. The Republicans are not exactly known to be a well-oiled machine.

Hillary Clinton should be embarrassed to have lost to a candidate with as many flaws as Donald Trump. Not even the tape of him talking to Billy Bush about women could derail him because the country was so fed up with the direction of the country and Hillary's corruption. (It detailed Billy Bush, but I digress.)

Nothing, however embarrasses Hillary Clinton. She just keeps on going and talking like the one who has had too much to drink and orders another. I would like to see some of the people who were present with her on election night come out publicly on her reported meltdown when she realized she had lost. Personally, I think the woman could use some psychiatric help. If she doesn't come to terms with the fact that it is really over for her, the final scene may be something out of "Sunset Boulevard", with Gloria Swanson walking down the stairs to greet her adoring audience-accompanied by the police.

Another Ramadan Attack: Paris

We already have one man murdered in Oldenburg, Germany this week for the "crime" of eating ice cream during Ramadan. Meanwhile, in Paris, a Muslim man tries to attack a French mean in the neck with a knife when he sees him carrying a case of beer out of a market -during Ramadan.

These are shining examples of how many Muslims in the West are trying to impose their values and sharia-based laws on the rest of us. Maybe they can do it in Saudi Arabia, but not here.

FBI Raid in Dearborn

"National Security Issue"

Last night, FBI agents raided a home in Dearborn, Michigan in what is described as a "national security issue". It reportedly was the culm ination of something that occurred out of state and suspects were tracked back to the Dearborn home.

We don't know any more than that pending an FBI announcement, but the obvious suspicion is this has to do with Islamic terrorism. That is based on the fact that Dearborn is the nation's largest Muslim enclave, and there is considerable radical activity going on. I could be wrong of course. Maybe it's one of those Macedonians Hillary Clinton is talking about.

Judea Pearl on BDS

Professor Judea Pearl of UCLA is the father of American journalist Daniel Pearl, who was kidnapped and beheaded by terrorists in Pakistan. On May 22, Dr Pearl appeared at a debate on BDS (Boycott, Divest and Sanctions) at UCLA. In the below op-ed in the LA Jewish Journal, he details what he told the audience.

Someone whose name I don't recall recently described Israel as a diamond in a sea of mud referring to the rest of the Middle East. I would say that Dr Pearl is a diamond in a sea of mud that is UCLA. He stands in stark contrast to the radical Israel-haters in the UCLA Center for Near Eastern Studies. Dr Pearl is a man of courage in stark contrast to the empty suit chancellor of UCLA, Gene Block, who has allowed Jewish students to be bullied by pro-Palestinian supporters on his campus with impunity.

UCLA needs more people like Dr Pearl.

State Dept. Press Briefing

Even in the best of administrations, State Dept. press briefings are painful to watch. Ask the spokeshole what time it is, and you can't get a straight answer because they are afraid they'll say something wrong. I don't know this guy's name, but watch as he is asked about Saudi "democracy".

The Oldenburg Murder

As previously reported, a man was stabbed to death this week in the German town of Oldenburg. The two suspects in custody are reportedly Syrian refugees. The victim is believed to be either Syrian or Yazidi. It was also reported that there was loud arguing that preceded the murder on a main shopping street.

"The search for a motive is ongoing." (That's what they always tell us, isn't it?)

According to the below link, according to an eye-witness, the perps were apparently enraged at the victim because he was eating ice cream during the daylight hours of Ramadan.

That's it, Folks. I would imagine that is soon to become an Oldenburg city ordinance. No eating for anyone during the proscribed hours of Ramadan.

Somewhat Surprising Editorial by LA Times

In the wake of the stabbing murders by Jeremy Joseph Christian in Portland, Oregon last week, the LA Times has an editorial that defends the right of pro-free speech and anti-sharia demonstrators to march in that city.

It is laudable that the Times is defending the right of the two groups to march in Portland in the face of the mayor urging the federal government to shut them down. The mayor is wrong.

What I take issue with is the Times equating the words and actions of Christian in verbally abusing two Muslim women then stabbing three people who rightfully came to their defense with free speech, pro-Trump and anti-Sharia marchers.

First of all, though Christian is an obvious white nationalist, he also supported Bernie Sanders and Jill Stein in last year's presidential race, odd as it may seem.

Secondly, the fear in Portland is not that the marchers will riot and commit violence; the real fear is that they will be met by ANTIFA and their ilk, who will certainly commit violence.

In a time of political correctness that is strangling public discourse of serious issues, especially on college campuses, what is wrong with standing up for free speech? When did it become wrong to march in support of a sitting US president? And who is to say that "hate speech" (whoever defines it) will be voiced at these marches? Criticizing political correctness is not hate speech. Criticizing sharia law is not hate speech.

In a time of worldwide Islamic terror when ISIS and their ilk are promising to impose sharia law upon the world, what is wrong with resisting it? Let those here at home who tell us that sharia is perfectly compatible with US law (it isn't) march to make their case.

If Mayor Wheeler wants to stop the marches, he can try to do so locally citing public safety concerns. Then he can fight it out in the courts. He shouldn't try to sluff it off to the feds.

Conservative Students Union at UC Irvine Hold Event About Radical Islam

Last night, I attended an event at UC Irvine. It was held by the Conservative Students Union at UCI, and they sent me an invitation to attend, which I gladly accepted.The event featured a conversation via Skype with Josh Yasmeh, who is a young Jewish Iranian-American writer for The Daily Wire. He spoke for about a half hour about the experiences of his family before they left Iran. His parents are Jews from the city of Shiraz. His father studied in the US and went back. After the revolution of 1979, he finally decided that it was time to get out when he saw gays being hanged from construction cranes during rush hour.

I will not attempt to repeat everything that was said, and I did not take notes or videotape. Yasmeh spoke at length not only about Iran, but other countries in the region like Egypt and Turkey. He also gave his opinions on the problem of Islamic radicalism and jihad, as well as Muslim persecution of religious minorities. The question of the possibility of reform in Islam was posed and whether it was possible. Yasmeh stated that it would be very difficult and very bloody, but that it would have to be done by Muslims themselves. He was quite impressive and the hour and a half was quite informative.

The UCI Muslim Student Union had been invited to attend and join in the discussion, but they declined. In the two weeks running up to the event (It was originally scheduled for May 24 but postponed for a week), the CSU's posters and flyers were torn down on campus as fast as they could put them up. The CSU complained to the administration, but were told there was nothing they could do and that there could be several reasons for doing that (like pasting over your own posters, etc. Not likely as some of the CSU posters were sprayed with water making them illegible.) At any rate, there was no protest nor disruption. There were about 20 people present including the dean of students-just to make sure there were no problems I suppose.

On a  side note, I noticed both on the 24th and last night that the courtyard area adjacent to the Cross Cultural Center and another building, which the MSU uses for prayers had prayer mats out though nobody was present. I guess they just leave them there even through there is a sign posted that the area is to be kept clear.

The sign reads, "This area is to be kept clear of storage at all times by order of the campus fire marshal".



This is hardly a new thing. Complaints about the MSU use of this area has been going on for years.

Janet Napolitano Calls the Kettle (Trump) Black

The New University, campus paper of UC Irvine, is running a story this week in which Janet Napolitano, the UC president, is criticizing the Trump 2018 fiscal year budget proposal because it cuts funding to the Dept. of Education and changes the student loan repayment system.

One would think with all the budget problems surrounding the University of California under Napolitano's tenure and allegations of misuse, she might prefer to keep her silence. A month ago, New University ran this story concerning $175 million in undisclosed funds found in the UC system at a time when tuition hikes were being implemented.

Napolitano and her office are also the subject of an investigation ordered by the Regents concerning allegation of improper interference in state audits. That is also being reported in this week's NU.
