Today in Washington, a House hearing on campus anti-Semitism was loudly disrupted by pro-Palestinian protesters. The Washington Examiner has a short video.
While many would be shocked by this event, I am not. I have seen it play out too many times at the University of California, where I used to teach (1998-2016). It is standard operating procedure for these characters. Anything they disagree with must be disrupted and silenced.
How many Jewish events in colleges across the nation have been disrupted by these misfits, with hardly any consequence or punishment for their outrageous action?
Do you see Jewish, pro-Israel people disrupting pro-Palestinian events? Rarely if ever. Are we seeing today anywhere in the world violence being carried out by supporters of Israel against pro-Palestinian protesters? Rarely if ever. Are Jews disrupting congressional hearings to show their support of Israel?
No, no, and no. It is the pro-Palestinians who engage in violence, death threats, disruptions, and the like. That is because they do not respect the rules of civilized discourse. Now, in the face of one of the world's worst atrocities on October 7, where Hamas terrorists committed acts that not even Nazis thought of doing, these protesters are defending the indefensible, the unspeakable.
Our country, like Europe, not to mention the Middle East, is facing a wave of anti-Semitism that hearkens back to the 1930s in Europe. Sadly, much of this Jew-hatred in the US and Europe is imported Jew-hatred brought to our shores by people from countries where anti-Semitism is taught and ingrained into people since birth. They have brought it here and inspired other misfits to join their evil cause. And it all goes back to the pro-Palestinian activism brought to our college campuses a couple of decades ago, which has now spread into society at large including our secondary schools. As I write, University of California activists, calling themselves the UC Ethnic Studies Faculty Council, are trying to impose their idea of "course curricula" into California secondary schools and make their courses required for entrance into the UC system. This "curricula" include instruction on how Israelis are "oppressing" Palestinians and that Jews are merely to be classified as part of the "white oppressor class" or some such rot. Is it any wonder that anti-Semitism is spreading among our young people? And this same "council" wrote a letter of protest to the UC administration after they issued a statement condemning the terrorist acts of Hamas on October 7!!!
I look back to what happened outside the gates of the White House a few days ago, where, apparently, only one person was arrested. I wonder how many of the people who disrupted today's hearing were at the White House protest, spraying red paint on the fence and yelling, "F--- Joe Biden" because he is making statements in support of Israel.

They were invited by the "SQUAD"; so technically; it was NOT a disruption. It was an attack on Congress; by their fellow members.
All the more reason why these people are a disgrace to Congress and to the people who voted for them. No respectable member of Congress on either side would invite people in who are going to disrupt. These are not respectable people.
