I am passing on information about a few rallies in support of Israel scheduled in the Southern California area on Tuesday, October 10. There are surely more. If you live in SoCal, please consider attending. Please be advised that the Los Angeles site is likely to be met with counter-demonstrators from the Palestinian side. No doubt LAPD will be out in force. This has been the site of many past demonstrations on both sides when fighting breaks out between Israel and Palestinians. The pro-Palestinian side tends to get volatile as past events have shown.
Los Angeles
Rally for Israel in front of the Federal Building (Wilshire Bild. and 405 Freeway). Tuesday, October 10, 2-4 pm.
Irvine
- Community-Wide Israel Solidarity Gathering on Tuesday, Oct. 10, at 6:00 PM at Merage JCC , 1 Federation Way, Irvine. This gathering will involve community rabbis and many of our allies in the greater community. More details to follow.
Long Beach
- Community Candlelight Vigil on Tuesday, Oct 10 at 7:00 PM in the Lipeles Auditorium of the Alpert JCC [3801 E Willow St, Long Beach, CA 90815]. All are welcome, all attendees are asked to bring a photo ID or AJCC Membership badge upon arrival.
