Rice Pride and the "Palestinian Experience"

One of the real mysteries of leftist logic is why organized LGBTQ groups, especially on college campuses, rush to support the Palestinian cause and, in doing so, attack Jewish student groups like Hillel.  The latest campus mystery comes to us from Rice University, where the group, Rice Pride, has cut ties with Hillel because Hillel supports Israel. The story has been picked up by the conservative website, The College Fix.

Here is a rather long article on the controversy by Rice's student newspaper, The Thresher. In spite of its length, the article fails to make any mention of the proverbial elephant in the room.

That elephant would be, to borrow a phrase from Rice Pride, one important element of the so-called "Palestinian experience", namely, that of throwing gays off of rooftops. In contrast, Israel is the only nation in the region that grants full rights to gays. They even have a gay pride event every year. Try doing that in the West Bank or Gaza.
