As I have previously called for, once again, it is past time for universities across the nation to ban Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) from their campuses. Ever since their founding by UC Berkeley professor Hatem Bazian (a Palestinian), they have disrupted pro-Israel campus events across the nation. I have personally witnessed their tactics at UC Irvine during my years teaching there. They are a despicable organization. In the wake of the horrific atrocities committed by Hamas against innocent Israelis, including the elderly, women, and children-even babies, SJP has reached a new low in coming out in support of Hamas at this time. I have been informed that they organized some sort of rally at UC Irvine today.
And then we have the spectacle of some professors offering extra credit to students to attend SJP events-such as reported by Fox News at the University of Virginia. It is sickening and once again demonstrates the moral and intellectual rot of academics who support Hamas and other violent organizations dedicated to the destruction of the Jewish state.
Hamas has called for Muslims worldwide to engage in a "Day of Rage" tomorrow, October 13, to support them in their murderous war against Israel. No doubt, there will be a wave of violence around the world as a result. Shame on those who respond to the call of this murderous group of monsters. I suspect our universities will be very busy tomorrow.
