Hat tip Algemeiner and the News Gazette
Once again, the anti-Semitic, Brownshirt student association known as Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) has been involved in a violent incident on a university campus. Over the years since its (co)-founding by UC Berkeley Professor Hatem Bazian, SJP has engaged in countless incidents of disruption, intimidation, and bullying of Jewish students over the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
In April, SJP carried out an "impromptu" demonstration at a University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign campus Hillel center where Jewish students normally sit outside and chat. One SJP member, identified as Sayed A. Quraishi (23) reportedly threw a rock at Jewish students gathered outside the center. He is now charged with a class 3 felony hate crime charge.
I am cross-posting the below article from the New York-based Jewish publication, Algemeiner
It is way past time for universities to adopt a zero-tolerance policy toward the antics of SJP. These tactics are deliberate and planned. In addition, they stretch across state lines. In my view, the Department of Justice should launch an investigation into this hate group. If, indeed, there are interstate conspiracies to cause disruption and violence while targeting Jewish students, then it is time for the FBI to get involved.
In addition, it is my view that SJP should be banned from all university campuses.
