Let's go, Brandon, Romanian Style

On December 21, 1989, Romanian dictator Nicolae Ceaușescu gave his last speech in Bucharest before being overthrown. To the dismay of Ceaușescu and his wife, Elena, the crowd was none too friendly, as they gave him the "Let's go, Brandon" treatment. They were forced to cut short the speech and flee the capital. On December 25, he and his wife were put on "trial" by a military tribunal, convicted, and shot.

Using a little literary license, we have added English subtitles to a video of his speech (in Romanian, of course) to add a little humor to the event back on December 21, 1989-as if it wasn't humorous enough.

Disclaimer: Any resemblance to other living persons is rather coincidental, and no-I am not advocating that anybody meet the same fate as the Ceaușescus.
