The villages of Ouatagouna, Karou, and Diga Daotegeft experienced horror this Sunday, 8 August. 51 civilians were killed, a dozen wounded, of which about 10 of these cases are grave, in the three localities of the Ansongo Cercle in the region of Gao after an attack by terrorist groups, according to a provisional count given by the 2nd adjutant of the prefect of the Ansongo Cercle.
