Old Joe was at his bumbling best in announcing his gun control measures. In addition, he announced he was nominating David Chipman to be the director of AFT, er ATF. In fact, he repeatedly made the gaffe of calling the agency, AFT.
ATF or BATF stands for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. It has recently become the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Apparently, Old Joe has changed the name again to Alcohol, Firearms, and Tobacco. Any day now, I expect him to announce a name change for the BFI (FBI).
All kidding aside. ATFE is a fine agency. They deserve better than that.
