Muslims Protest at French Embassy in Stockholm

Hat tip Samnytt, RAIR Foundation, Vlad Tepes, and Gates of Vienna. Translation by Fousesquawk.

On Friday, a group of what are described as Salafist Muslims staged a protest in front of the French embassy in Stockholm in response to the recent events in France and the statements of French President Emmanuel Macron. The speaker in this video is Imam Muhsin Asinger of the Islamic Kurdish Cultural Center. In the below video, Asinger is seen speaking to his followers in the street in what seems to be a combination of Swedish and Arabic. The translation begins with two posters held by protesters. Later on in the video, Swedish sub-titles appear translating his Arabic chants into Swedish. That is followed by an interview with the imam in Arabic-apparently by a representative of the conservative Swedish news outlet, Samnytt, and is accompanied by Swedish sub-titles. You should note that the written Swedish sub-titles do not always synchronize with the voice. We have synchronized the English sub-titles to match the Swedish sub-titles.

The main issue here is that of burning Korans, criticizing Islam, and/or mocking the Prophet Mohammad. Asinger insists there should be a law against insulting Islam and Mohammad. In his talk to his followers, he recites chants to Allah to strike terror in the hearts of Islam's enemies. He also tells the interviewer that if the police do not deal with Koran burners, he and his followers will. He also claims that nobody dares criticize Jews, and that it should be the same for Muslims. He insists that he and his followers are not extremists and, in answer to a question, he says there is no difference between Islam and political Islam.
