The Paris Knife Attacker (Cont)

On September 25, two people were stabbed outside the former office of Charlie Hebdo in Paris. There have been conflicting reports on whether there was one attacker or two. At any rate, one Pakistani man is definitely in custody. He is identified as Zaheer Hassan Mehmood. He reportedly has told police he was attempting to exact revenge for cartoons insulting the Prophet Mohammad.

Mr. Fouse: I had to laugh at the final sentence of this piece in The Washington Post today: " he [Macron] said he was committed to a project that “consists in finally building an Islam in France that can be an Islam of the Enlightenment.”

Well, good luck with that. My job brings me to France twice a year for a few weeks, mostly in Paris. Studied in Paris, so my French is fine. What I have seen over the years is a gradual breakdown of resistance to the concept of Islamic separatism, so we'll have to wait and see how Macron manages this.
My French friends, some of them academics, have had it with Islam and its manifestations. It's gone way too far.

Macron is a fool, just as the leaders of virtually every Western European country, are fools. They are destroying their own societies. If Macron thinks that he can steer Islam into a moderate direction, he is an even bigger fool than I thought.

There is only one solution, which will save lives over the long run. Stop Islamic immigration, close the borders, and expel all those immigrants who so much as spit on the sidewalk. It does not kill anybody or deprive them of their freedom. It just sends unwelcome people who will not assimilate and who are committing crimes and/or living off the state and advancing Islamic goals, back to their countries of origin. What happens to them there is of no consequence to us.

The alternative is never-ending social strife, violent crime, terrorism, and people dying in the name of multi-culturalism.

Don't think I am anti-immigrant; quite the opposite. My wife is a Mexican immigrant, but with immigration comes assimilation and people who want to adopt the values of the new country. That is not what is happening in Europe.

I also speak and read French (I have been to France many times, but never lived there), and am following the news out of France on French media. I am able to translate articles that are written, but as for putting sub-titles on videos, my comprehension is not at a high enough level to always do that. France is a beautiful country, and it is sad to see what is happening there and the rest of Western Europe.
