Hat tip Neon Nettle and Chris
As Western European countries sink under the invasion of Muslim migrants, refugees, asylum-seekers, and assorted fortune-seekers, it is the Eastern European countries who are showing common sense. Only recently liberated from the shackles of communism, they see the terrorism, intolerance, attacks on Jews, murder, robberies, rapes, and other forms of violence-and they say, "No thanks". They are keeping their borders closed as best they can and refusing the demands of the EU to accept "their fair share".
In Slovakia, the government is not allowing mosques, which they hope will effectively discourage Muslims from coming in the first place.
Of course, to an American like me, this seems problematic since we have freedom of religion here, have no state religion, and a law like this would quickly be ruled unconstitutional. On the other hand, who am I to tell the Slovaks how to run their country? The Western Europeans have a mess on their hands which they may never overcome, and the Eastern Europeans want no part of it. Rather than have so much strife, it seems to me that restricting or blocking immigration of those who will largely not assimilate and who have a different belief system is the most humane thing to do.
Hopefully, the East Europeans will lead the West Europeans out of the wilderness.
