The Jill and Joe Show at the DNC: Something's Not Right Here

I'm not much for gossip and I don't believe in judging other people's sex lives. Something about "don't judge lest ye be judged". But watching the DNC "convention" tonight, there is something that isn't ringing right here. I just got finished watching all this soapy, over-dramatic recitation of Joe Biden's life. I watched Joe and Jill tell us how they met on a blind date 7 years after Biden tragically lost his first wife and infant daughter in an automobile accident. That's all well and good. It is heartwarming that after such a tragedy, Biden was able to restart a relationship and a family.

Except.......

Today, Jill Biden's first husband, Bill Stevenson, has gone public and announced that Joe actually stole Jill from him-that they (Joe and Jill) began an affair when Jill was still married to him. In fact, he is writing a book to that effect.

I will reiterate here that I am not judging the Bidens on this, and I will say that if that is true, it shouldn't disqualify Biden from being president. We all know President Trump has a bit of history in his own marriages. So, as far as I am concerned, if Jill Biden really dumped her first husband for Joe, it is no big deal.

But for God's sake, if this is true, we have another Biden whopper on our hands that puts all his past whoppers to shame. This story has been out for at least several hours, and yet, the DNC still ran this long (I assume pre-recorded) puff-piece tonight about the Bidens meeting on a  blind date in 1975-three years after Stevenson says he and Jill-then married- first met Biden. According to Stevenson, it was 1974 that he learned that his pal, Joe, was having an affair with his wife.

                                                                                     "That's a big f-----' deal."

It appears that come tomorrow, someone has some explaining to do. Again, to be fair, maybe it will come out that Stevenson is not telling the truth. But if he is, then that video we saw tonight of Joe and Jill describing how they met is a great big lie. It should not be hard to find out who is telling the truth.

*Update: True to form, even this morning, the mainstream media seems to be ignoring the story. It's running on conservative sites, the Washington Examiner, and British tabloids. Here's the politically-correct BBC today.
