German Police Working Overtime

Hat tip RAIR Foundation, Gates of Vienna and Vlad Tepes. Translation by Miss Piggy.

It seems Germany is having a tough time dealing with the Corona virus as shown in the below video. Gatherings of more than two people outside are verboten, and as you will see, elderly people out for a stroll are being cited or even dragged off to jail. The visuals take one back to an earlier time in German history. At the same time, many Muslims are ignoring the lock down and holding their regular prayers at the local mosque both inside and on the street while police stand there like potted plants. The below videos took place in Saarbruecken and Berlin. In other parts of Germany, police have had rocks thrown at them when they tried to enforce the lock down with local Muslims.

In the first video below, we see what happens to an elderly couple in Saarbruecken, out for a stroll who want to sit on a park bench.

Now we go to Berlin, and we how the new regulations are enforced-or not enforced.

I am not arguing for or against the need for restrictions on movement. But if you are going to hassle regular everyday people including the elderly for being outside, then for God's sake, enforce it for everybody.

But Fousesquawk: We don't want to have a riot, do we?

Oh yes. I forgot.
