"Don't shoot, Coppers"
If they ever do a takeoff of the American TV show, "Cops" in Austria, it might look something like this. Herr Von Trapp is jogging in a deserted park with his vicious pit beagle without a leash when confronted by two gendarmes. Not taking any chances with the dangerous wrong-doer, one of the cops draws his gun while the other jots down all the identifying data. Not content with the jogger's name and address, they even take the two in for "further investigation" so they can check the dog's chip number!
