University of California's Confusion About Gender

Hat tip The College Fix

Janet Napolitano-University of California President

"UCOP staff should realize that referring to a person as “he” or “she” based on the person’s “outward appearance” means they are making assumptions about gender, the first article says."

By now, you have all heard about wacky professors and wacky students throughout the country trying to re-define gender way beyond male and female. According to some wackos, there are now over 50 different genders to choose from. Not even Baskin Robbins can match that total. Now we have professors and students introducing themselves by including their preferred pronouns. I mean, what's next? Will entire university administrations adopt this insanity?

Oh wait! What's this?

https://www.thecollegefix.com/university-of-california-tells-staff-that-woman-and-female-are-not-necessarily-linked/

"Gender expression deals with the “physical manifestation of one’s gender identity,” but “being genderqueer/diverse or non-binary has nothing to do with looking queer or non-binary.”

Keep in mind, this is not the raving of some leftist professor who long ago lost his/her/zem/ze's sanity; this is now the position of the entire UC system under the reign of Janet Napolitano.

Well, since I taught part-time at UC Irvine for 18 years, I might as well join in the fun and announce my own preferred pronouns. How about "x", "xdw", "kgf", and "vtr"? How do you pronounce all that? That's your problem, but you better get it right, because if you don't, you'll be hearing from my attorney.
