"Be on the lookout"
In the German city of Essen, a 90-year-old pensioner was victim of a home invasion and severe beating by three men. The below video is not humorous-except at the end where the news announcer describes the suspects as "southern looking". You might conclude that police are looking for three Bavarians wearing lederhosen and funny green hats. Not so. "Southerners" is the word the German media use to describe young, male immigrants from places like Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq, Somalia, or some other hellhole. They wouldn't want the public to get the wrong impression, would they?
