Taher Herzallah of American Muslims for Palestine has a history of controversial statements. I first saw this character in action back in 2010 when as a member of UC Irvine's Mulsim Student Union, he was one of 11 people arrested (and successfully prosecuted) for disrupting a speech at UCI by then-Israeli ambassador to the UN, Michael Oren. After his glory days at UCI, Herzallah got himseelf hired by UC Berkeley Hatem Bazian at AMP. More recently, we saw him dragged out of a Senate confirmation hearing for the ambassador- designate to Israel.
In short, when Herzallah is not getting the bum's rush at some event, he is spouting his anti-Israel, anti-Jewish hatred in public. Such was the case last month when he appeared on a live stream for the despicable Al Jazeera English insulting American Jews who immigrate to Israel as part of their Birthright.

First of all, I have nothing but contempt for anyone in this country who would collaborate with Al Jazeera. Secondly, I have nothing but contempt for anyone associated with Hatem Bazian and/or AMP. Outside of that, Herzallah is a pretty good egg.
