The above video is dated from August 2017 when German Chancellor Angela Merkel visited Erlangen for a political event. I am posting it belatedly because I just became aware of it and because I have a personal connection to the city where I was stationed in the 1960s. I am also the author of a book on the history of Erlangen, which is located about 20 km north of Nuremberg.
Anyway, like other cities she has visited, Merkel did not get a nice reception in Erlangen. To which I say: Hurray for Erlangen!!
