One year ago, in the Spanish municipality of Azuqueca de Henares ( Guadalajara) a 12-year-old Spanish girl was dragged into an apartment and gang raped by approximately 6 young Moroccans and one Nigerian, mostly minors between 15-20. Arrests were made and the prosecution resulted in jail sentences for the accused based on their age. One defendant, who was of adult age, received a stiffer prison sentence.
Now, however, the town is just learning of the incident. City officials are demanding that the mayor explain to them why this incident was kept hidden from the public.
