

The timing could not be more ironic. As Pope Francis I arrives in the United Arab Emirates on an inter-faith mission to foster better relations with the Islamic world, Muslim terrorists in the Philippines have bombed a cathedral. At this count, there are at least 20 dead.
It would be best if Francis got on his plane and returned to the Vatican as a show of protest. At this point, his continued presence in the Middle East is totally inappropriate.
