I am pleased to cross-post a statement by Pitzer College president Melvin Oliver in response to a faculty motion to stop a partnership between Pitzer College and Haifa University in Israel.

This statement is welcome and should serve as a strong rebuke to the faculty members who drove this motion. They don't run the institution, and they don't get to prevent students from studying in other countries.
