Over the years at UC Irvine, I have heard many of these Jewish enemies of Israel speak on behalf of the Palestinian cause. This includes, Judith Butler, Norman Finklestein, Jeff Halper, Hedy Epstein,  Miko Peled, Anna Balzer, Gabriel Piterberg, David Theo Goldberg and others. They stand shoulder to shoulder with those who would wipe Israel off the face of the map (if they could). Many support the BDS movement, which is not designed to force Israel to make reforms, rather to destroy the Jewish state.

As an activist crying out over campus anti-semitism at UCI, I had to face the active opposition and/or indifference of Jewish organizations like Hillel, the Jewish Federation of Orange County, and the Anti-Defamation League, all of whom pretended that there was no problem of anti-semitism on our campus. I have gone to inter-faith events and seen the leaders of these organizations blame all of anti-semitism on President Trump and his voters while ignoring Islamic anti-semitism. The most notable such event was at Temple Bat Yahm in Newport Beach in January 2017.

I have seen first hand how many heads of universities, themselves Jewish, refused to protect their Jewish students from the bullying and intimidation coming from the pro-Palestinian forces on campus.

It is all frustrating, and I don't understand it.
