The Kavanaugh Hearings

Today, the Senate Judiciary Committee began its hearings into the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. Naturally, the left and the Democrats on the committee made fools of themselves. Disruptors showed up and did what the left does best-disrupt.

The Dems on the panel acted like true Dems. From Kamala Harris to Cory Booker to Richard (I  served in Vietnam) Blumenthal to , Sheldon Whitehouse, the tactic was to-adjourn the hearing. (Delay). Yes, they want to delay the nomination process until after the November elections in the chance they will take back the Senate and vote Kavanaugh down.

They complain that hundreds of thousands of documents about Kavanaugh have not been delivered by the White House. That's because they pertain to when Kavanaugh was working for the GW Bush White House and would be protected by any administration. Even if the WH turned over those documents, it could never change the votes of any of the Democrats on the committee. We all know how they are going to vote (No).

Here is the point: Trump won the election. Even Obama used to say, "Elections have consequences." Trump gets to pick his Supreme Court nominee, and if the Republicans have the majority, they will probably have enough votes to confirm. That's the way it goes.
