The End of a 125-Year-Old Synagogue in Netherlands

Hat tip Jihad Watch

A sad story, indeed. In the Dutch town of Deventer, a Jewish synagogue that had been in existence for 125 years was forced to closed when a Muslim who had purchased the building evicted the occupants.

I guess I can't argue the legality of what has happened, but this is nothing for anyone to celebrate-as I'm sure some people are. Can you imagine if a mosque were forced to relocate in this manner?

How was it up for sale in the first place? That's downright weird. There are religious houses that rent their premises, but 125 years old? And dedicated to use as a synagogue all that time? Something is strange here. But, like Gary says, this IS how free enterprise works!

I guess one landlord sold to a new landlord.
