Austria and the largely autonomous German state of Bavaria, which borders on Austria, are cooperating on border and immigration issues. Gates of Vienna has the report and a video sub-titled in English.

And it can't come to soon. Just this week, a German girl apparently hitchhiking, accepted a ride near Leipzig from a truck with Moroccan plates. She was trying to get home to her residence in Amberg, located in Bavaria. She disappeared, and Spanish police have just found her body in Southern Spain. The suspected Moroccan has been arrested trying to get back into Morocco.

Just one more death on Angela Merkel's doorstep. (There was a second murder of a German girl reported last week, but the suspect is from the Dominican Republic.) It was the second such murder in the tiny village of Barsinghausen in two months.
