Today's Inauguration
Like most of you (except those 60+ Democrat representatives who are boycotting it) I am watching the inauguration and the various events in Washington.
Fox is reporting 90 arrests of protesters/rioters downtown so far. At 12th and K Streets rocks are being thrown at police, who are responding with pressure grenades.
I liked Trump's speech. It was short (16 minutes) but powerful and in line with his previous themes. One thing shines through: Donald Trump is a nationalist, and he will put American interests first.
All in all, I thought it was inspiring to once again watch the peaceful handover of power something that America takes great pride in. Today, the African nation of Gambia has been invaded by Senegal and other neighboring countries to force out the president who has refused to cede power after an election. There but for the grace of God go you and I.
I think it is also appropriate to add that President and Mrs. Obama did their part today. No matter what you think of the Obama presidency, for the most part, he upheld the dignity and the protocols of his office. (Aside from his last executive orders) he assisted Trump and the transition in an exemplary manner.
It's going to be a very eventful 4-8 years, and it begins today.

Oh. Was there an inauguration yesterday? I must have missed it. Oh well.
Too bad the dopes at 12th and K missed it too.
They were wasting their time.
