A University of Louisiana female student has admitted she lied when she reported being assaulted and having her Muslim headscarf torn off.

When these incidents happen, my position has always been to condemn the act. (A similar incident has just been reported at San Diego State University.) Yet, it must be added that all too often these reports have turned out to be hoaxes. At this point we don't know the facts about the San Diego incident.
Assaulting Muslim females and ripping off headscarves is a despicable act. Inventing such incidents in order to feed the "Islamophobia" narrative is also despicable.
