9-11 Memorial at Occidental College Vandalized

Hat tip College Insurrection

Only on a college campus would you see a hatred of America so intense that a simple memorial to victims of 9-11 would be vandalized.

To add insult to injury as the Young Republican students attempted to replant the flags, they were confronted by protesters who broke the flags in front of them.

If Hillary Clinton need an example of "deplorable", here it is. Let's hope the college identifies these people. It shouldn't be that hard if they really try.

George Bush's mendacious use of the events of Sept 11 to promote an invasion of a country his cabal of advisors always wanted to target, which indeed had nothing to do with the events of Sept 11, is indeed worthy of censure. But, there is no reason to desecrate a memorial to those who were killed on that date (by a force other than Iraq, or Hussein al-Takriti) in order to vociferate that censure. If the fact that Iraq, its people, and its government, did not commit the attacks perpetrated on Sept 11 is relevant, then a memorial to those who did die hardly needs to be trifled with.

Occidental college has been a bastion of far left thinking. All one has to remember is it was the college that Barack Obama attended, after years of being marinated in communist thought by his Hawaii mentor, Frank Marshal.

Squid, you wouldn't know what communism looked like if you tripped over it in broad daylight. I WISH Barack Obama were a socialist, but sadly, he is nothing of the sort. Osama bin Laden was not exactly a disciple of Karl Marx either.

Obviously Siarlys, you have a lot of reading to do. To make it very easy for you, read Radical-in Chief, by Stanley Kurtz, who distinguishes Obama as a Socialist, in the last line in the last page, after providing an entire book to this distinction.
As to not knowing Communism, I would recommend Divid Horowitz' boos and booklet to enlighten yourself on the topic.

I used to read David Horowitz in Ramparts magazine every month... and I read the manifesto he and Peter Collier wrote in 1980 when they endorsed Reagan. I don't know what became of Collier, but Horowitz has made a profession of inviting people to pay him to give lectures on what a fool he was. And I say, were you a fool then, or are you a fool now? Horowitz was never a communist, and no, he never really did understand what it was. Gazing in awe on Huey Newton's biceps does not qualify.

Stanley Kurtz... I'm supposed to recognize that Obama really IS a socialist after all because some guy named Stanley Kurtz got a book published by the ideologically equivalent of a vanity press? If there's one thing I've studied most of my life, its socialism. I have a good grounding in what socialism is, had been, can be, and should be. I don't give a flying leap at a rolling donut what Stanley Kurtz has to say on the subject. Further, radical and socialist are two different things. For instance, Saul Alinsky, author of "Reveille for Radicals" was never a socialist.

I'd offer you a reading list, but, you know, pearls before swince... oh, wait, that's now a comic strip.
