As I write this, it has just been announced that the number of dead in Munich is nine (which may include one gunman). The attack began in the northeast area of Munich called Moosach.
What is yet to be determined is who the attackers are. There are conflicting reports. One report indicates this may be the work of some sort of neo-Nazi group that is striking back against foreigners. We just don't know at this point. If that is true, this adds a terrifying new element to the problems in Europe. It may be a coincidence, but today is the 5th anniversary of Anders Breivik's terror attack in Norway.
And it is reported that Angela Merkel is on vacation.
