CAIR's Islamophobia Press Conference at UC Berkeley

Hat tip Florida Family Association

The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR)  held a press conference on June 20 at UC Berkeley on the topic of Islamophobia (a term they and their co-conspirators essentially invented to silence critics of Islamic violence). Surprisingly, nobody from UCB participated according to FFA not even UCB Professor Hatem Bazian, another propagator of the Islamophobia industry and co-founder of the Islamophobia Research and Documentation Center located in a  broom closet (room 638) of Barrows Hall. FFA's link below has a video of the press conference featuring CEO Nihad Aawd and CAIR official Corey Saylor.

FFA implies that their recent letters to UCB may have been a factor in the lack of any university officials being present and participating in the press conference. Perhaps, but I also find it strange that Hatem Bazian is not seen in the video. Maybe there has been a falling out between CAIR and Bazian.

In spite of the propaganda put out by CAIR, hate crimes against Muslims in the US are rare. Mosques are not burning like Christian churches are burning in Egypt, Syria and Iraq. Muslims are not being murdered as they are in the aforementioned countries in addition to Libya, Pakistan, Iran and many other Muslim countries. Muslims are not being arrested and put on trial for practicing their faith as are Christians in the Islamic world. There is no law in the US against blasphemy of Christianity. No Muslims are being forced to convert to Christianity, Judaism or any other religion.

So why the press conference, CAIR? I might add that your timing is rather unfortunate given that 49 non-Muslim gays were slaughtered just days ago by a Muslim in Orlando, Florida.

So who is it that needs protection from whom, CAIR?

*Update: Here is an article by Legal Insurrection on CAIR's Islamophobia report.

Well, so much for the Bazian/CAIR split. CAIR should be ashamed of saluting this guy. Not only is he a co-founder of SJP, he has publicly called for an intifada in the US (2004) and is reported to have told a protest audience to look at all the Jewish names on university campuses. Some example.
