Last week, as previously reported, David Horowitz spoke at UC Irvine. His appearance came two days after Neturei Karta Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss spoke against Israel (something he does around the world on behalf of those who would wipe the nation off the face of the map).
Today, this week's edition of New University, the UCI campus paper, reported on the two events.

Below is the comment I made to NU in their online edition.
"I attended both events and have heard both speakers on prior occasions at UCI. Weiss and his Neturei Karta represent a tiny fringe group that is not even recognized by mainstream Judaism. Not only that, Weiss is a friend of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and supporter of the Iranian regime, the largest state sponsor of terrorism in the world. Just as he did on his last appearance at UCI (2011), he refused to address my question about how his mullah friends persecute gays and Baha’i in Iran. In short, he is a kook.
The MSU can make their disclaimer about anti-Semitism all they want, but they must confront the organization’s past history of inviting radical speakers like Amir Abdel Malik Ali, Mohammad al Asi, Cynthia McKinney, Hatem Bazian and many others. Inviting misfit Jewish speakers like Weiss, Norman Finkelstein et al, is only window dressing.
In addition, SJP, co-founded by Bazian, needs to cease its tactics of bullying and intimidation on campuses around the nation."

Do the MSU and SJP people deny Jews have historic ties to the land?
I don't get the MSU and SJP argument from the New University articles. Palestinians are indigenous to that area and Jews aren't?
A lot of people support the creation of a Palestinian state but also realize that Israel has legitimate security concerns. It is like the MSU folks do not recognize Israel does have legitimate concerns stemming from groups like Islamic Jihad and Hamas. If there is ever going to be peace, it has to be a negotiated settlement from both sides. Hamas is not interested in recognizing Israel as the homeland of the Jewish people and for the two states for two people resolution. Bibi doesn't either. I don't mind them pointing out that Israel should be more open to negotiations based upon something like the Clinton Parameters.
The worst in those types of groups say the rockets and mortars being fired into Israel don't really hurt anyone. And deny there are Palestinians going around trying stab Israelis. And how money spent on tunnels could be better spent on infrastructure. Not saying Israelis are angels. But it seems like MSU type groups have an inability to do any self-criticism and only spend (or spend 90% of their) time being critical of Israel and neglect criticism of recognized terrorist groups.
I agree, anonymous. There could be a negotiated settlement with two states if only the Palestinians really wanted peace. They do not. They want it all and the ultimate goal is the elimination of Israel and the Jews from the region. You cannot negotiate with that.
