Hat tip Breitbart and Creeping Sharia
Muslim Brotherhood associate and top Clinton aide Huma Abedin on the campaign trail with Clinton (Breitbart)
The latest batch of emails released by the State Department gives further insight into Hillary Clinton's embrace of the Muslim Brotherhood while Mohammad Morsi was in power in Egypt.
Here is the so-called Explanatory Memorandum addressed from the MB in Egypt and addressed to the "North American Brothers", which was seized by the FBI in the 1990s and introduced as a government exhibit in the Holy Land Foundation trial in the Northern District of Texas in 2007.
"The process of settlement is a ‘Civilization-Jihadist Process’ with all the word means. The Ikhwan [Muslim Brotherhood] must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers…”
The cuddling up to the MB by the Clinton State Department on behalf of the Obama administration was just such an example of "sabotaging its miserable house from within by their hands (us) and the hands of the believers (MB)".

Why are you quoting the explanatory memorandum, which we've seen many times before?
Why aren't you quoting from the Clinton memos which (so you hint) show that she was coddling the MB?
A rather mendacious switcheroo that. Worthy of Goebbels. You could do much better.
Not worthy of Goebbels, who spouted lies. I spouted truth on both counts. And yes, they are directly related.
BTW Siarlys,
The U.S. House of Reps. just past a bill to designate the MB a terrorist group. Does this help with the mendacity issue!?
Squid
That's not the mendacity issue at all. The mendacity issue is quoting verbatim from MB memos, then making a vague referenced to "explanatory memoranda" which show Hillary Clinton is "cuddling up to" the MB. The former are real, the latter are only hinted at, and the transition is mendacious. Goebbels did know how to use a little truth to spice up his lies. Gary is by and large an honorable man, but when he is fiercely convinced something is true, he is not above vague and misleading presentations which sort of create the image without the evidence adding up to what he claims. I don't support either Hillary or the MB, but this "connection" is arguing facts not in evidence.
Siarlys,
You just witnessed a fact in evidence with the documents released that I posted about.
Point one: There is ample evidence that the Muslim Brotherhood is linked to international terrorism and supports international terrorism. The document I posted (Explanatory memorandum) is a fact in evidence-literally. It was seized by the FBI and entered into evidence in the Holy land Foundation trial in 2007. And you made a misstatement when you said that I claimed the explanatory memorandum showed that Hillary was cuddling up to the MB. The EM was seized in the early 1990s, so why would I make such a claim?
But there is also more than ample evidence that the Obama administration and its secState (Clinton) supported the MB even before Morsi came to power in Egypt. Remember the Obama speech at Al Azhar University? He insisted they be present. Obama and Clinton supported Morsi and have held their distance from the Sisi regime.
It's called connecting the dots. It's what every intelligence analyst does. You know, circles and arrows.
Gary, you keep pontificating about the evidence that there is some bad stuff going on in the Muslim Brotherhood, while retreating into mealy-mouthed insinuation about the alleged links to the Obama administration. I don't know why you would make the claim you made, but you made it, and now you are backing off from it. If you consider the situation at the time of President Obama's speech in Cairo, there was a distinct possibility of a younger generation in the MB taking things in a different direction, which did not in fact happen. They were part of the political scenery in Egypt, and bringing them into the mainstream could have been salutary. It was worth a try. It doesn't establish that they were political allies.
Siarlys,
The MB was founded in 1928 by Hasan al Banna. It was extremist from its birth and was involved in presidential assassinations, successful and otherwise. They have tried to pretend that they have eschewed violence, but they have not. Zawahiri came from the MB. The MB is the umbrella organization from which sprouted Hamas, Al Qaeda and most other Islamic terror groups.
During Morsi's rule, persecution of Christians reached new heights.
It is documented-including in the original post above -that Obama and Clinton-and ambassador Anne Patterson favored the MB arousing the rage of other Egyptians.
Your first paragraph is accurate -- although it doesn't explain the MB's mass appeal. Like most insurgencies of ANY ideology, they built mass support by putting in the work to help people with development and health care, etc. that the class in power wasn't doing. The more people are left out in the cold, the easier it is for someone, anyone, to build a mass base for something approximating insurrection. Most people don't care about ideology, they care who is delivering results, to them, to their families, in their communities.
I'm still waiting for anything that remotely resembles documentation of what you state in the third paragraph. That seems to all be insinuation.
Siarlys,
I don't get why you can't connect such simple dots. May be it's because you think of MB as a benign organization that helps people with health care. If you have not done the research into the coddling of MB by Obama, Clinton and their ambassador in Cairo, Ann Patterson, do the research.
First dot: The founding and history of the MB
Second dot: The off shoot of other terror groups like Al Qaeda and Hamas from the MB combined with the Explanatory Memorandum
Third dot: The actions of the Obama admin vis-a-via Mubarak, MB, Morsi and now al Sisi.
If your hands shake, you may want to use a ruler.
