This was sent to me by a friend. It is an article by Matthew Gonzalez in the Merced County News. Gonzalez claims that a friend told him that he witnessed the shooting of Faisal Mohammad and that he observed what looked to be an ISIS flag pulled off of Mohammad's body. Gonzalez also claims that unnamed law enforcement officers in the area have confirmed this. It also reports that Mohammad was known to federal authorities and that Merced was considered a threat area.

I want to state that this is the first I have heard of the Merced County News and Matthew Gonzalez. I have no way to corroborate this information. The MCN appears to be a legitimate though small news outlet. Its "news team" seems to consist solely of Gonzalez. Yet it has the weather, classified ads, crimes reports etc. Thus, I am posting this as is.
*Correction: The MCN article says that a source observed a picture of an ISIS flag pulled from Faisal Mohammad's pocket-not an actual ISIS flag.
