Is Hillary a "Carpet Chewer"?

This article first appeared in Eagle Rising.

During the Third Reich, one of the rumors that went around about Hitler was that when he was (particularly) enraged, he would get down on the floor and chew on the carpet. (Whispered accounts described him as a Teppichfresser or devourer of carpets. ) Perhaps, that was just an early urban legend, but all agree he could throw a temper tantrum with the best of them when things didn't go his way.

Likewise, Hillary Rodham Clinton, ever since she walked in to the White House on the coattails of her husband, has been the subject of stories about her own violent fits of temper, throwing objects at people in rage and so on (especially Bill).

So it hardly comes as a surprise that the latest reports coming out of the Clinton presidential campaign portray a woman losing her grip as the email and Benghazi scandals get deeper and her poll numbers keep falling.

"It's Joe, and Donald, and Ben, and Ted, and Marco, and Carly, and Mike, and Bobby, and Chris....."

According to details recounted by Sean Hannity yesterday on his radio show (Full disclosure: Sean is a Hillary critic in case you didn't know.), Hillary is having almost daily rages directed at her aides and staff, screaming and reducing those stupid enough to work for her to tears. In one instance, when a female staffer turned and walked away in anger, Hillary reportedly chased after her and grabbed her by the arm and turning her around violently as she (Hillary) continued to vent.

Given the constant pressures of a presidential campaign and the constant pressures of actually being president, one might ask if Hillary has the emotional makeup for the job. (I know. All you feminists out there please save your cards and letters. I don't care how offended you may be.) Better stated, does she have the temperament required for a president or would she merely be carted away in a straitjacket after a year or two of being president and commander in chief? I mean even cool cucumber Barack Obama has grayed noticeably in the job.

As I write this, Hillary is prepping for that big Democratic debate when she will go up against the likes of Bernie Sanders, Martin ( I apologize for saying all lives matter) O'Malley, and maybe one or two other non-entities. Who knows? Maybe somebody will strike a nerve and we will see Hillary blow her stack on national TV. In addition, she is going to go up against Trey Gowdy and his sub-committee investigating Benghazi soon. Maybe she will have another "What difference does it make?" moment.

Clearly, the pressure is building on Mrs Clinton as she continues her quest for the most stress-filled job in the world (outside of making pizzas on a Saturday night.) Sooner or later, I suspect there is going to be a video camera rolling when Hillary blows her stack. If you think her poll numbers are bad now, wait till that happens.

Keep those carpets rolled up and stacked away in the garage.

Why are you indulging this second-hand rancid gossip instead of covering that the Cubs are in the playoffs?

Because if Hillary is elected, the Cubs will never make the playoffs again.

I do wonder how Hillary would have responded if that female staffer who was grabbed and turned around had screamed back "Get the $#@$@#$ out of my face, $#@$#@$#@$#!"
