Study Foreign Language at Harvard: Hell-Invent Your Own

Hat tip Campus Reform

"Genny Beemyn, director of The Stonewall Center, an LGBTQ resource center at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, told The Boston Globe that identifying an individual by an improper pronoun constitutes a “microagression” that undermines feelings of self-worth."

When it comes to academia, Harvard refuses to be outdone by any other university. So it follows that Harvard is taking the lead when it comes to sheer insanity. From now on, students will be able to choose by which pronoun faculty and staff are to address them.

"Burke said that the change had been in the works for several years, with input from the Harvard Trans* Task Force, the College's Office of BGLTQ Student Life, and various students throughout the process, and was introduced this year because a new student information system facilitated its introduction."

I can just envision the conversations on campus.

"So, I was like, "What is zonk problem, Dude, and zirk was like, "Ze don't have no problem. What is heez problem?"

Great idea! Why didn't I think of this myself. Hey, you Sir! By what pronoun do you want to be addressed?

Outstanding. From now on, hunh are referred to as hunh.

I would refer to Genny Beemyn as "it."
