Tell the "It has nothing to do with Islam" crowd to get ready. They have more explaining to do. I don't speak Arabic, but I did catch some references to "Allah" by the ringleader of the ISIS butchers just as they were about to barbecue four unfortunate Shia Iraqis. Yes, it is on videotape. Whatever an ISIS spokesman says, Gary believes it.
When my enemies say they will kill me I take them at their word. You should as well.
I take ISIS at their word that they will kill me, and I certainly meet their criteria.
I take the word of my Muslim friends that they will NOT kill me -- actually, its never been an issue at all. They don't have to say it, any more than my Christian, agnostic, Jewish, atheist or other friends do. You don't have to say it either -- I would meet you at Wrigley Field any time, if I had advance notice to clear my busy calendar.
You take ISIS's word for it that they truly represent the true teachings of the faith that commands the piety of one billion people. That would imply that the Caliph of Ramadi is the true leader of all one billion Muslims, that he has a legitimate claim to their allegiance.
Should Ben Carson take David Duke's word for it that Duke represents you? I really didn't think so.
