Quebec Considering Legislation That Would Ban Speech Critical of Islam

Hat tip Gates of Vienna

Islamic lawfare is alive and well in Canada. In Quebec, they are considering legislation that would crack down on Those who speak critically of Islam. Gates of Vienna has the report along with two videos in French with English sub-titles.

I note that the Muslim Brotherhood's top operative in Canada, Jamal Badawi (who is celebrated as a moderate) is mentioned. I saw this character speak at Loyola Marymount University at Los Angeles in 2012 at a symposium dedicated to telling the public that sharia law is perfectly compatible with  US law (which is isn't unless you think we have a death penalty for leaving Islam, criticizing Islam, adultery or homosexuality). Badawi is also one of 200 North American Muslim leaders who has refused to sign the Freedom Pledge from Former Muslims United, a statement that American apostates from Islam should not be harmed.

Isn't it ironic that the one religion that believes in killing people of other faiths wants to be legally protected from criticism? Those who would allow for that to happen are simply caving in to fear.
